I'm here to pay my respect to Mr. Harrell cause he sadly pass away yesterday. He's the reason why Puffy,Mary J. And many more artists have a career. Rest well in heaven Mr. Harrell your music and innovation will live on forever.
Rest in Power to a true legend. I always wanted to meet this gentleman cant believe he died at such an early age. Just goes to show you how precious this life is. Andre lived his to the fullest. Thank you for your contributions
Andre said there can't be two lion in the jungle...I got fired BIG. Craig Mac on one side BIG on the other. It's the Big Mac baby how can Andre say no.
RIP 🙏🏾. I've been watching a lot of musical documentaries recently and he has been a constant presence and brought us some the greatest artists in 90's and beyond. Now I'm even more interested to see the project they had in the works about Uptown Records.
God bless the soul and rest in glory to one of the best 1980s/1990s R&B/Hiphop/rap producers, innovators ever! Respect and Salute to the legendary and late, great: Mr. Andre Harrell.
Uptown Records started the hip hop RnB trend. MixTapes took off with RnB songs on HIPHOP tracks in the 90s and Andre Harrell helped establish that. Big up Andre Harrell
King Combs and all the Wu kids make me feel so proud of 90's hip hop. Not only are my generation's artists still relevant but they raised up some good children. Good children who are actually real artists. They're only real hurdle is making fans just listen to their music without saying, "he's just hit because he's Puff's son... or he just Method/U God son..."
Huge fan of _Uptown Records._ I _cain't_ wait for what's to come regarding the movie. Christopher Williams is the one I'm mostly looking forward to knowing about. Like many New Jacks, he didn't make it through the 90's, successfully. Record label switches, shakeups, drama and the competition just took him out. See, this just goes to show that all that "cute light-skinned" stuff is some bullshit. You can still flop and get dropped. He was tall, fine and he could sing. The only thing he didn't have... flavor. R. Kelly and them took them New Jacks out and never looked back.
LaChele He got with Death Row in 95/96 after the album with giant Suge was setting up to take most of MCA r&b acts that's why Jodeci Mary Aaron Hall even Bobby Brown was hanging out at Death Row one of the producer said when Chris would should up he didn't if he was there to rocord music or rob the place
LaChele Suge even tried to get Teddy Reily and blackstreet but Teddy declined that's why Pac was dissin him on toss it up yeah Suge had big plans lined up but they died September 7th in Las Vegas
Sis I like your perspective. I believe that R. Kelly was heavily influenced by Aaron Hall. He took that whole sound and ran with it lol. I loved Uptown growing up, and my favorite was Heavy D. The song "Somebody For Me" featuring Al B. Sure is classic💯
Hurts! Rest in Peace to a brother. Extremely down to earth and brilliant. Epiphany how Charlemagne says, you seem fulfilled, like you've done everything you've wanted to do....
uptown can never get left out of the conversation because of the simple fact every time you say Bad boy your saying uptown as well if theres no uptown they would never been a bad boy fact.
Isn't this the same dude who ran with diddy, who is from brooklyn and one of the biggest and gangsta blood dudes who was at the hit factory who set up the 2pac robbery?
The problem i have with these 1990's tribute shows is that they call it a "1990's" tribute show as opposed to an ''EARLY 90's" show. Kids who didn't live in the 1990's are gonna think the entire 90's decade dressed in early 90's fashion. Early 1990's fashion was basically late 1980's fashion. And that trend only lasted from 1990 to 1993 and started to phase out in 1994, 1995 and the very last little bit of it died out in 1996. And a lot of the top black music acts of the early 90's fell off during the mid 90's. So it's funny to me when these tribute shows bring out New Edition, Salt-n-Pepa and a few others as if they ruled the whole 90's when we know they didn't do anything from 1994 on-wards. 1997 to 1999 saw a whole new fashion trend and culture which we tend to overlook for some reason. 1990 and 1999 were NOTHING alike, two totally different worlds.
I just released a music video that I shot and edited myself. If anyone could take a second to check it out I would appreciate it. I'm open to work with other independent artists as well

Rest in Power to a true legend. I always wanted to meet this gentleman cant believe he died at such an early age. Just goes to show you how precious this life is. Andre lived his to the fullest. Thank you for your contributions
He was a new Jack Swing mogul. He is missed by many. He was a libra and had the same birthday as Serena Williams. Rest in peace Andre.
Rest In Peace to this beautiful soul. 2020 sucks. God bless the Harrell family.
Andre Harrell never gets the mogul credit he deserves. He is up there with Puff, Dame, LA Reid
He's the one who put Puff on.
Andre said there can't be two lion in the jungle...I got fired BIG. Craig Mac on one side BIG on the other. It's the Big Mac baby how can Andre say no.

Interesting. So Chris was tryna work w/ Suge? I never knew that. I think _Giant Records_ crumbled or something so...
WOW! I never knew this stuff.
LaChele Suge even tried to get Teddy Reily and blackstreet but Teddy declined that's why Pac was dissin him on toss it up yeah Suge had big plans lined up but they died September 7th in Las Vegas

"I met Sza right when she was getting signed to TDE." - Yee. We do not care lol a lot of what she says concerns herself and it's annoying
True...she stays being a "Me too" lol...
How come they are saying that he gave his label to Diddy?

Ant Agurz --- good marketing.
I hated that crowd at the awards...they seemed out of place.
Why does Yee looks like a deleted Aladdin Character
lol...
