Exquisite place. It boggles my mind to think of the workmanship involved in this building. I wonder how long it took to build this place. Loved the first tree with all the packages, my dream tree.😊 Thanks for another beautiful memory.🎄🇺🇸❤️🇬🇧
I know!! I often think about all the work involved to make these places too, what a labour of love ❤️ The first tree was indeed a beauty wasn’t it? 😍🎄 Happy Sunday Brenda x
I visited a friend there many years ago and stayed for a couple of weeks. It's a magical place, the cedar staircase is amazing with the beautiful statuary, I stayed in the blue corridor and spent long hours searching out the hidden doorways that led to very narrow staircases only to end up in a single room or a maze of hallways. There is one hidden door, the latch hidded under a section of molding in the corner of the dining room, down an incredibly tight little stone staircase that leads to a single, very dark room, small and spooky, but what great fun. It is a very grand old manor with many hidden treasures. The staff could not have been kinder and more generous to me. Truly a magical journey into the past if you love old castles, manors and historic structures as I do.
Lovely tour! Thanks for bringing us along!! That conservatory/orangery was stunning! We're currently, and for the foreseeable future, under a thick blanket of snow, so it was delightful to see all the greenery! (The auld mother in me just itched to surreptitiously slide coasters under those wee trees on the piano when no one was looking, lol) Big Hugs from the Adirondacks!!!❤
Thank you so much for joining along with us 🥰❤️ Ooh yes I love the conservatory too, a beautiful space. A blanket of snow sounds magical to me, I’m always ecstatic when I see snow! Haha the coasters tickled me 😂 Have a wonderful week ahead!
Thank you sooo much for showing Harlaxton Manor all decorated for Christmas! My late cousin Sherry invited me to join her for a week long University of Evansville alumni trip there the summer of 2010 and it was beautiful beyond belief even without the decorations. My highlight was getting to play the Moonlight Sonata on the Bosendorfer piano. I’m sure the little trees on it were artificial as it is very well protected-covered and locked when not in use.
So beautiful place specially with the Christmas decoration with these firs small or big. Stacy could you put a little map on your video to see where is the place, the town or the castle you show us ? Thank you , have a nice week with your family. ❤🎄🎅🏻😘
This mansion doubled as the chateau d'Eu (which is in Normandy) in one of the episodes of the series "Young Victoria" - that was when Victoria went and met the wily French king Louis Phillipe I at one of his residences.

I graduated from UE with a MA. My father's childhood friend donated the place years ago. I toured Harlaxton some years ago. Very impressive place.

Are there any old houses, manors, cottages in Britain that are decorated with nature only, for Christmas or Yule?
