I love how the guy wants Paul to admit that drinking is bad - and Paul doesn't only ignore that but even sounds proud of getting drunken. :D

The interviewer is funny and asks down-to-earth, sensitive questions and the lady interpreter is so serious and kind! A couple of information about their difficulties in playing, very nice interview

      Well... almost.
He said 'Till works for six.'
as he was the only one of the six piece doing pyro back then.
Sorry for spoiling your fun, fren.

It might be unusual for Aussies, but in Germany it's widely accepted to drink. E.g. US-People relate beeing drunken to violence and unconsciosness while germans relate it to fun and happyness. That should explain Pauls behavior.
When a german is drinking, he shows that he feels very comfortable. It's exciting to do that mentality-expierence. ^^ -btw, I'm not German-

I fully agree with you. I don't drink anymore alcohol since I made a therapy 4 months ago.
Nonetheless I find that's an epic interview! The whole scene is so funny: the exited interviewer, these two Rammstein guys enjoying themselfes and in the middle of the pack that serious woman who translates. :)

Wrong: Violence isn't a result of drunken people, it's mainly a result of psycholigical instability. Drinking alcohol can be the initial trigger for people who have problems to overreact - which doesn't mean that alcohol should be forbidden. It's rather a matter of each one's responsibility to not abuse alcohol - but you, as a weed-smoker should know that anyway. Btw, I love the shit too... it's just about not letting things go out of control. ^^

The puritanical American view on alcohol makes a bit more sense when you realise it's much cheaper there than in the UK and Europe (not taxed anywhere near as heavily) and you can also easily buy higher percentages that are hard to find elsewhere (such as the ghetto favourite, Everclear). That said, there is a misinterpretation by young people about the effects of alcohol. It enhances whatever personality you already have. If you are a jockish idiot binge-drinking for the sole purpose of getting drunk, of course it will make you even more obnoxious. If you are a shy nerd with anxiety, however, it will help you talk to people by not making you worry so much about what other people think of you. And it's a complete fabrication that people always drink till they are drunk beyond belief. Most people think in terms of moderation, and have a couple of drinks at the end of the week to help them unwind. When you're on tour, it's not too good to drink heavily every night for the simple reason that if you have to get up early and perform the next day you don't want to be hungover, plus it can take its toll on vocal cords. Most singers will have a routine in place to keep their voice in good shape.

Honestly i hate that drinking culture here in german. A lot of violence came from drunk people during the weekends. Everyone accepted to drink. But everyone think im a criminal cause i smoke weed. I cant remember one party without alcohol. For the most germans its impossible to make party without drinking.
