What's it like trail running in Israel? (near the Dead Sea Half Marathon!)

- I never realised how amazing the trail running would be in Israel! After the Dead Sea Half Marathon (film here: / jpnrcgrdd7e ) I was taken on an utterly magical run in the canyons near the Dead Sea. Hopefully this film conveys how enchanted I was - count how many time you hear me say, "Wow!"
We parked up on the Amiaz Plateau, a vast, flat and dusty yellow desert and ran down Wadi Sedom, marvelling at the salt formations and high, white cliffs and towers. At the bottom we met Wadi Pratsim and followed it all the way back up to the plateau. This second canyon was even more spectacular, with striated rocks, caves and pillars, narrow corridors and sky-scraping white castles of rock on either side. It was like the Grand Canyon, only a lot smaller and white. It was incredible, I could have stayed there all day in the lovely warm sun, taking photos and filming!

Trail running in Israel is definitely something to put on your bucket list! I hope they invite me back one day!

Wow, I was so excited to see this, you captured the scenery beautifully. I used to have a subscription to Trail Running Magazine when you were editor and I live in Jerusalem and went hiking last winter with my children on the trails you were running in Nachal Sdom and Pratzim

Wild Ginger Running 🏃🏻 For Sure!!! Maybe I can stay with some of my friends there. Looking at maybe the long trail too, although I haven’t researched a lot about it yet. It just now is popping up on my radar of trails I want to run. Hopefully one day soon I’ll say, “next year in Jerusalem” and mean that I’ll be running the trails. Whoop 🙌🏻 whoop 🙌🏻 visited back in 2014 for two weeks and loved every part of the land! Totally a beautiful area! I’m glad you got to enjoy it! It truly is amazing 😉

Desert is only part of Israel. We have all types of trails - forests, hills, snow. U all welcome here to see how great it is to trail run here.

Don't really want to go politics here but It's good to see those Israeli people still do normal things such as trail running. Really the opposite for what the mainstream media said toward their country.

There is no problem doing what ever u want in Israel. We do a lot of trail running as well as everything else... don`t belive what u see in press
