    I love Spokane I lived here since I was 7,and I don't think I could ever complain. I think my fav part of Spokane would be the parks all together. I love being outdoors

    Danielle .. i found the people friendly and helpful. I took a bus downtown to wall Street but got on the wrong bud coming back.. i got off at a stop I thought was the right stop.. but it wasn't.. i asked someone for directions to where I was staying... they took me by car to where i wanted to be.. they were very helpful... especially as i was a foreigner... I'm Scottish..

      Yes they are weird about foreigners as for some reason they are the only ones not profiled by local businesses if your Ukrainian or Russian they are nice, but its amazing how and why these sheepish people do that. I do not know why normal Americans if not gay or female will have problems here. I have a Bachelors in Chemistry and its such a waste of time to live here. Most people like real authentic people here they are too scared to be authentic, not even sure what they are so worried about with nonlocals, as for me no criminal record and phi theta kappa. they just see what they want and angry white southerner and yes they profile me here I will continue to give examples to any interested party.

    Grew up in Spokane, left and never will go back. Spokane is a small city that wants to be a big city. There is zero charm there. Best way I could describe it is trashy. I think the Manito area is its best area. Spokane feels like the shitty suburb of a bigger city, the problem is, it's the bigger city. Most people feel stuck there.

      I grew up there too and feel the opposite. The smallness of it is part of the charm. Good neighborhoods and good people.

    All i can say the cost of living is high why simplu because no good paying jobs and rent is a bit lower than CA but you are making less money but as for food like any other citi even more. For example same chicken in CA cost 2.99 per lbs here 3.49 so you are paying more. Also coming from CA to WA spokane feels like boring and everything is slow so slow. Speed limit 35 on 4-5 lane road come on seriously. One way main road and 35mph and spokane people make accidents at this speed insanely.
    I think its a great place for someone 40 and up due to slower life style and not being so hot like in CA otherwise i will move in hearth beat back to CA. Been in CA for 15 years great place to live sacramento. Thats what I am comparing it with WA.
    Hard to find good paying job in spokane and same jobs that you make in CA will pay 5-6$ less here. Trust me I know it already. So it all evens out. Cheaper rent less paying job. Dont think you will come here and make same money unless you have some high end job like doctor or nurse.

      Why does the campus claim to let visitors onsite? As on 11-20-2015 I saw three guys minding their own business in the library who had checked out computers were accosted by a security guy

    • @Gojam12
      @Gojam12 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have not been back yet and just not sure why it happened he didn't accuse them of anything ,but I will never forget the adjective he used while berating these men he dropped the willy nilly, you can't just come in here willy nilly right after they ghad checked in at the front reception are where I myself also checked in to use the computers.

      Spokane comes from the Spokane Indians (Native Americans) and got it's start as a trading post. Most of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho have names after either Native Americans or French names (from old trader days). The Riverfront Park in downtown Spokane host a Native American Pow-wow every year...great event to watch (and I'm not Native American).

    Fishing sucks. Compare to like Texas and those other big cities. Restock our lakes with trout. But not great fishing . Great camping an parks an no real disasters. Snow an ice is the biggest . Bad drivers . Don't send your kids to District 81.. they SUCK ...

    Spokane has low crime, affordable housing. BUT it’s a food Desert! No culture. No excitement. We need entrepreneurs, NOW

    Man this sucks. Every place I look at moving to in the Pacific Northwest or even British Columbia and it's all homeless and liberals and drug addicts.

    • @PhatRobsOils

      Its not that bad, there is 3 Colleges. Good Employment. And yes there are homeless but there is no Tent City or anything you just see Alot of Bums on the side walks drinking there boose. i lived there 3 years and moving back this spring, i cant wait.

      Jackson Mississippi is calling you. Go!!

    • @Turco949
      @Turco949 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is probably why the home prices are low. If all the homeless had houses, that would have lowered the supplies and made the house prices much higher.
