Nhi, hum engineering reserch ke liye karte he Bhai.. Harvard and MIT uske average package ki vajha se nhi balki research ke liye Jani jati he. Indian ka spana Microsoft or Google me placement nhi balki Microsoft and Google jaise company banane ke bare me bhi hona cheye..

A pretty decent review, but I wanted to clear one fact that, the first undergraduate CSE batch of IIT Gandhinagar will be graduating the next year. This is the reason you might not have found big IT firms in the placement list. Do make a new video after getting the correct statistics next year, as the present review might be very misleading because the scenario will change in an year.
P.S - Goldman Sachs came this year and took two students.

And I wanted to tell you First batch of btech CSE at IIT Gandhinagar was placed in 2020, and got an average package of 17 lacs and Higest package of 45 lacs. The scenario has been changed, so make a new video on the college.

I became a fan of your truthness and critical evaluation. I am passed out from IIT Gandhinagar in 2018 batch. Every word is true, you said. This institute is more research-oriented than placement oriented (if you compare from other institutes).
I got a seat in NIT Warangal (my first choice in NITs counselling) and in IITGN (7th choice in IITs counselling), got confused at that time and chose IITGN just because of IIT tag. But the life which I lived there was extremely good and memorable!

Time management was also an issue for me in last semester! Could not find time to sit for placements from my busy schedule over there!

@@Solelymine Rank of IIT will not matter but your performance in IIT will matter. All IITs have very good infrastructure and Professors. Now, I don't discriminate much between new and old etc. Your opinion might differ. You can get involved in various extra curricular activities if interested in MBA from INSEAD etc.

IIT Gandhinagar started its computer science branch in 2016.Not a single batch of CS guys yet be placed . That's why you don't see big names like microsoft,google ,facebook here.Please do note this.

Which course should I pursue Bsc(CS) or Btech(CSE) ?
I am a second year student at IIT Gandhinagar. The institute doesn't release the placements stats anymore, but the placements are much much better. This video was made when the cse first batch was not placed, but now in 2021, 2 batches are placed, and the placements are pretty attractive. Max placements went as high as 45lpa, that too 2 people got 45lpa, as far as I remember. The avg. packages vary from branch to branch, but all branches have avg greater than equal to 8lpa, which is pretty close to old iits. So, if you are seeing the college from placement perspective, it's not a bad option to choose iit gn. Also, the director here is actually very friendly and good. Campus and hostels are also beautiful. Though, since it is a new institute, there is a smaller alumni base and the clubs and cult is not very well established. But with time, these too will improve.

Just go for IIT'S, they have better opportunities even in these fields. IIT'S will always better research infrastructure as compared to any NIT. These fields are more research oriented as of now but have their own applications, so the entrepreneurial opportunities are there moreover IIT will always have a better crowd than NIT
