- Patriotic Alliance (PA) President Gayton McKenzie has declared all-out war on the Democratic Alliance (DA) after his recent olive branch to the opposition party “expired”. Speaking to BizNews after another two by-election victories, he says: “It's war. It's full-out war. We are not playing. I extended the olive branch because I do think that the Western Cape will not be best served with the ANC (African National Congress) coming back…And they then answered that by insulting me…” McKenzie says the PA has been winning 80% of the by-elections it has fought, and he doesn’t think the DA will get 35 per cent of the vote in the Western Cape. Meanwhile, he says Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF) leader Julius Malema understands that the upcoming election is a match between the EFF and the PA. “So I'm saying that if you are a white person, it's no longer time to vote for your normal parties… Let's keep Malema out. I'm the only guy that can stand up to that fool. I'm the only one that can stand up to that mafia. South Africa doesn't deserve a guy like Malema.”

You missing the point, its not the PA on trial, its the DA. EFF/ MK/ANC does not govern the WC. The DA works for Whites in the WC, not for anyone else.. Sadly it appears my prediction is coming true. The DA will win majority of the votes in the WC, but less than 50% and the PA will win the second most votes. I hope sanity will prevail and both parties work together, not just in the WC but throughout SA.

Apart from Candace Owens, this must be one of the most naive analysis on matters political I've ever listened to.
If you're libelled by Gayton Mackenzie would you have the guts to stand up and defend what you're saying/reading? Several times you've referred to him as a gangster. Man is that the best you can do? I've listened to this man on several occasions and because he does not fit the mould that the white and powerful black elites would want a reformed coloured gangster to fit into, they've resorted to ad hominem attacks - repeatedly.
I can't believe that you heard the word "power" coming from his mouth and flew into an uncontrollable tirade against this man. Let me correct you. Of course he said he wants power - power to change things from within, most notably for the marginalised masses. But you've misconstrued his use of the word power to mean his hankering back to the priveledges of being a gang leader. I understand that you don't believe that he's given his life to the Lord Jesus Christ but I respect your opinion. Let's praise the One that saved this man's life. Apart from Candace Owens, this must be one of the most naive analysis on matters political I've ever listened to.
If you're libelled by Gayton Mackenzie would you have the guts to stand up and defend what you're saying/reading? Several times you've referred to him as a gangster. Man is that the best you can do? I've listened to this man on several occasions and because he does not fit the mould that the white and powerful black elites would want a reformed coloured gangster to fit into, they've resorted to ad hominem attacks - repeatedly.
I can't believe that you heard the word "power" coming from his mouth and flew into an uncontrollable tirade against this man. Let me correct you. Of course he said he wants power - power to change things from within, most notably for the marginalised masses. But you've misconstrued his use of the word power to mean his hankering back to the priveledges of being a gang leader. I understand that you don't believe that he's given his life to the Lord Jesus Christ but I respect your opinion. Let's praise the One that saved this man's life. And if by your reasoning a man does not gain respect/ power by stealing, criminal activities, lying, gangsterism, corruption etc, why, then there are very few men left in South Africa because I can point you to a den of thieves in the highest echelons of government and society.
I challenge you to have an interview with Gayton to clarify your claims because we've heard nothing but slander in an attempt to denigrate and discredit this man. And this is serving no purpose at all because seriously, as South Africans, we would all want a balanced and unbiased account of who we're going to vote for as many of us are still undecided.

Ya'll are not serious. Beyond words and talking points, what has Citizen Concerned ever done for our country? Whom has she ever led and what change has she ever brought to an y community? The problem is that South Africans are too concerned about what people say and not paying attention to actions which speak louder than words. Gayton is a true leader and a successful businessman who pulled himself up after being pardoned from prison for his work in exposing corruption. He has a proven track record of delivering to his constituents. He may not be perfect but he takes decicive action and has a great vision for this country. The people who speak against could never do a fraction of what he's accomplished. They have fancy degrees and supposedly, clean criminal records but have NOTHING meaningful to show for it other than sitting online and complaining all day. The time for talking is over! Those who are serious about change are putting doers like Gayton in power to do what your "squeaky clean" leaders have failed to do.

Do I believe the DA is the best bet for a ruling party, not even close! What the DA has proven time and again is that they can stop the boat from sinking and turn municipalities around. We can argue until the cows come home about which party is "the best" going forward, but we forget that the ship is sinking and the only direction we much move in now is up, stop the leaks, get the economy going.
We also forget, because we have had ANC rule since democracy, that democracy is a process, it is not a destination, and ALL politicians want power and power corrupts, and that is why we cannot leave politics to politicians. That is why we cannot get hung up on "who is the best going forward and wont lead to apartheid or you name your fear. We are dealing with KNOWN criminals in the ANC. We have proof that the DA can fix things. I see Gayton talk a big talk but not much action. I like Herman from ActionSA.
Our biggest danger is that we think we have to get this vote right for the next 30 years. The only thing we have to get right is to get the boat to stop sinking. I hope Gayton is a changed man, but, thus far, I have not found any reason to believe him within politics.
