I watched Glenns video yesterday. When it was over I started the first playlist he put below the video. "Stupid Musician Texts" is pure comedy gold. I'd recommend to watch it. Hope his wife gets well soon.
Some of those are absolutely bananas. The 15yo pop star "bad baby has nothing on me!" had me in tears laughing. And yeah, keep watching those, musicians look after musicans, and glenns missus is in trouble, so glenn needs out help, otherwise whats the damn point really.
Hiya Henning, the "Glen J" almost certainly refers to Glyn Johns the engineer & producer and his drum micing technique. Its really quite simple and only uses a few mics. As a guitarist with almost no production knowledge who generally relies other people setting up this stuff - this is literally the only drum technique i know and have used it for demos and garage rock/punk. If you've watched the Beatles Get Back doco you've seen Glyn Johns - he's their engineer. As a side note, i saw the video from the other Glenn, Mr Fricker of Spectre Sound - I've put a few videos on in the background today to try and help him - I'd encourage others to do this as well if you can so his channel doesn't drown in obscurity.
