The only reason this baby is not with its mother is that the mother is probably dead. The managers of the Palm plantations will shoot at the Orangs because they are looking for food within the plantations. This is why people need to BOYCOTT ALL products containing Palm Oil

In this decade the Indonesian government has imposed a very strict policy for those who kill, maintain and trade orangutans.. if there is a case of orangutan death in the concession area intentionally due to shooting or other activities carried out by humans, the perpetrators will be arrested and the concession permit will be revoked. allows the orangutans to survive and the population starts to increase
@@makoberuangchannel I don’t the government enforces the law as it should because I don’t think the timber and palm oil companies would be able to operate and displace those poor orangutans the way they do.It just doesn’t seem like the number of orphans are going down like it should am I missing something?

I agree with you. I won't buy anything with palm oil in it. It should be illegal to kill them. They went into their home and took it over to grow palm nuts. At one time they had 300 baby orangutans. Wich means that they murdered more than 300 grown orangutans. This is wrong. They can call the rescue to help them. They don't need to murdered them. It's also going to make them completely dependent upon humans because we are raising them. And the abuse some of the babies have been through kept as pets. I cried. I couldn't help it because it was that upsetting to see the abuse. What is wrong with those people.

You guys are doing a great job. In over a hundred orangutan sanctuaries the workers are all doing a great job making the orangutans reach sexual maturity then they are loose on the sanctuary to breed like crazy. Most sanctuaries take the baby from so mom will have another baby right away. But its time to start counting orangutans in sanctuaries because it makes the people who work in the places incompetent! They need to be given credit for the exploding orangutan population. Orangutans should be taken off the endangered species list because they pretty far from being endangered, more like thriving. Also orangutans do get counted in thousands of zoos that have exploding orangutan populations. When any other animal is counted they count every single animal , they cherry pick the numbers because it goes along with their narrative. The people are wolves dressed in sheep’s clothing! They care not about animals.
@Sue Taylor In our place, almost all baby orangutans are born in their habitat, we do not do breeding, according to the latest data there are about 23,000 orangutans scattered in various habitat locations and there are about 400 individuals who still cannot be released because they are not ready or are disabled during the big forest fires in 2015.

Orangutans are not violent or aggressive at all. They are more scared of us than we should be of them. They just want to eat and live
