    I like that they make wide foot speed boots now. Im a size 12 with wide feet and Nike shoes like the Vapor 13 and Hypervenom Phantom are just too damn narrow they make them for elves and goblins .

    I have really wide feet and usually destroy any type of shoes I use after a few months (except sneakers of course). I play in turf and had a pair of tiempos that were killing me because my feet were pressing on top of the borders of the soleplate (which is always the problem). I found the puma future were the most comfortable and played with them for a while. As they were still a bit restricting I bought the Puma One All-round and they are 100% perfect. Yes, they are bulky and have a lot of padding but my feet actually fit and stop getting numb everytime I play. I hope this helps if someone is having the same problem!

      This is the issue I'm running into right now. I've been trying to find cleats for months. I bought a pair of Diadoras that fit but my feet starting hanging over the edge of the sole plate (pinky toe/joint). I stopped training due to the pain. I also ordered Mizuno Super Wides from Japan but those sole plates hurt my feet also. Now I'm just trying to find turfs for indoor and I actually just ordered the Tiempo Legend 8 Academy turfs hearing they are decently wide. If these don't fit I'll have to find some of the Puma all around turfs. It's so frustrating.

    I recently had to get a new pair of boots and I have really wide feet, I got a pair of boots called ‘jet maxs’ made by x-blades. For me personally x-blades make the best boots for people with wide feet because the width of there boots are a few sizes bigger then the length of it. But, I think x-blades boots are only sold in Australia but they are an amazingly comfortable boot for wide footed people and would highly recommend the x-blades jet maxs.

I want to change it to some other hard ground / FG with shorter studs boots. We play recreational oldtimers soccer. My preference was Puma future 5.1 FG, but studs are too long . I prefer synthetic HG as leathers are hard to maintain. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

  • @dave-ld8mo
    @dave-ld8mo 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    This might be out of context, but I have recently started playing tennis (football is still my main sport though) and am now looking for the perfect fit. I like my footballboots with no extra space, snug and responsive. Do you think that I should go with a similar fit when buying a tennis shoe? The movement required for tennis is very similar to that of playing football: explosive changes of directions are the main focus. Therefore it would make sense to go with a similar fit, right? What do you think?

    • @Soccerreviewsforyou
      @Soccerreviewsforyou  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would definitely them to fit snug and secure, but I would probably leave enough space at the front so that your toes aren't pressed against the tip of the shoes. That could potentially lead to discomfort from your toes being jammed against the front of the shoes, which will be harder than what you'd have on a football boot. At the end of the day, while I think it's definitely beneficial from a performance stand point to have shoes that fit more tight and secure, especially when you're talking about stability and quick changes of direction, what feels comfortable to you is still very much about personal preference.

      @dave-ld8mo 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Soccerreviewsforyou Thanks for the reply! I will take your advice into consideration. While searching on the internet I realized that there is even a greater variaty within the tennis market than in comparison to the football industry.
      I mean, Nike and Adidas are still the leading forces, but there are many different brands that are as well accepted by the tennis community. As a football boot enthusiast it makes me happy to see "exotic" brands like Asics, Lotto, Mizuno or Diadora getting much better reception in Tennis :)

    What about Copa 20+? I have extra wide feet, but I play in Copa 17.1 TF and Ace 17.1. They both fit tight, but not that i feel unconfy. Im thinking which would be better, Preds 20.1 or Copa 20+ as for power boots.

    • @Soccerreviewsforyou
      @Soccerreviewsforyou  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Copas fit pretty snug through the mid-foot. That's not say that they wouldn't fit, but the Preds would definitely be better suited for wide feet.

      Personally I think it’s not about what boot is best for your position but what feel comfortable on your feet.

  • @y0Prsn

    Hi Josh, just out of interest which boots do you think would suit a goalkeeper the most based on three attributes which are key to the position. One being overall comfort, two being the ability to repeatedly hit accurate long balls and three being great traction for coming off the line quickly. You see lots of top level keepers wearing the Predators, Tiempos and even boots such as the Puma Future but I was wondering whether they are wearing these because they all have traits that make them suitable or because they're just sponsored by the brand. Cheers

    • @Soccerreviewsforyou
      @Soccerreviewsforyou  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Comfort is going to be most based on the shape of your feet and personal preference, so that has nothing to do with a specific position. Hitting accurate long balls is a skill. As far as traction is concerned, bladed stud will typically provide more bite when pushing off, but again, there's a huge personal preference and feel aspect to that as well. You should buy boots that fit you well and offer a feel that you like. Your specific position, goalkeeper or not, has very little to do with it.

      Having worn just about everything, I wouldn't classify them as being particularly wide. That's not to say that someone with wide feet couldn't wear them, but they have a tighter, lower volume fit compared to the X 19.1, which is a similar style of football boot.
