Life in Ostrava is much cheaper than Prague, and we have a high quality of life. Rent for a 56 square meter apartment with a bedroom, a living room and large enclosed balcony is about 433 USD or 10 000 Czech crowns. You can also get a good place for one person in different parts of the city for 8 000 or fewer crowns monthly. Our cost of living, even with recent record inflation, is still considerably less than Western European nations, although prices are even lower in neighbouring Slovakia and Poland to the east.

Hello, we appreciate your perspective about living in the Czechia, but it seems there may be some misinformation regarding the situation in the Czech Republic. Discrimination against individuals from Asia, the Middle East, and Africa and Muslims unfortunately does exist in our society. This issue has been documented in various reports and legal cases. It's important to stay informed by researching credible sources and media outlets. Hate crimes against foreigners and specifically people of color and religion are rising. Additionally, I understand that some foreign students may feel the need to express positivity about their experiences due to visa or employment concerns. Wishing you the best!
Sis pls my school issued my confirmation of study to my via email I hope I can use that to book an appointment and also use it at the embassy if i print it out
We use Czech Koruna for everything, including paying salary. Some supermarkets and tourist places do accept the Euro, but they will usually give you your change in Kč.
Pls I want to ask: what is the estimated cost in Euro per month on groceries and food. If you work , can you deduct without problems for accomodation and groceries? Do you have African food and hair products stores there and how expensive are they ? How about work after studies thanks .
Hello! Like I mentioned in the video the cost can vary, from 50-100 euros but it all depends on your budget. How you live will determine how much you'll spend. Secondly- you can only deduct money from your salary not before you get paid. If you have a good budget skills I believe you will not have a problem with paying for accommodation + food. 3. There are African foods and hair products here, you can find other affordable products and foods in the supermarkets too. About work and studies, I have made videos on that so kindly watch my videos to know more about schooling and working.
Great video. Please which will be the best university in Czech republic to study Computer science in terms of education quality, affordability and funding/ scholarship opportunities?
Hello, unfortunately i can't give such information since i am enrolled in Czech uniform life sciences. You can Google universities I'm Czech Republic and you'll see a lot of Options. Check each school to see their requirements and fee price this way you can decide which is better for you.
Hello Kelechi, yes we do. Actually, if you apply to any EU country you automatically receive a Schengen visa which allows you to enter any other EU countries without problems, including Germany. So if you receive a Czech long term visa, it's automatically a Schengen Visa.
Thanks for the update. Please can someone paying 65,000czk for school fees and 8,200czk for accomodation in Prague be able to cope with the expenses while schooling and working ?
Hello Kelvin, school fee is paid yearly, in this case, you can cope with schooling and working, as long as you have an inflow of cash to sustain you, you'll be fine. Also, if you want to cut down more expenses, there's an affordable hostel called Petrini, accommodation costs 4000-4500czk. You can move there after your arrival.
Hi there. Thanx for the info. Just a few questions. Firstly, do Czech universities require IELTS for English taught programs? And is it possible to get a job in English without knowing Czech fluently and do Czech people discriminate against foreigners who can’t really speak Czech like Germans do?
Hi, first, if you're from an English speaking country you don't need IELTS, however church the university you're applying to to be sure. Secondly, you can get a job in English either full time or part time job. Most people in Czech speak good English. Thirdly, I haven't faced any racial discrimination from a Czech person and I have never heard of anyone being racially discriminated ever since.
