A father that go out and spend time with his nonverbal child and do everything to make her happy and enjoy life is the farthest from dad fail.... you are wonderful even if you have to run after her every now or then...
I enjoy your video have a five and half who also is the nonverbal too she just started to say mom mom she always happy and smiling am working on getting her a talk to help her at home and school we had a. Trial. Back in April so we trying to get rid of one permanently hopefully it's soon that you know her colors are numbers and how to use it and it helps out a lot cuz sometimes she started what you don't want to do overtime you doing a great job as a parent I'm still trying potty her name is Summer thanks you for sharing
Couldn’t have said it any better myself. He never lets it affect the time they spend together, because you can tell he loves her so much and he enjoys doing these things with her. There’s no doubt it isn’t always easy and fun, but he has such an upbeat energy and it seems like he wakes up every day ready to seize the day and what it has to hold and it’s really awesome that he includes her in so much of it and does everything he can to make sure she is enjoying it too. Dad fail isn’t even in sight! He deserves an award, not every father, or even parent in general, would do stuff like this with their kids. I gotta love the secret milkshakes too 😂
That little stinker! 😸 She was planning that excursion since she placed the first plant on the truck ledge (very mischievous grin). Glad you got her back quickly!
Asa, you’re such an incredible father! You’re so patient with Abbie and the two of you really have a special bond. Seeing you with her warms my heart. 💞
Does anyone else get genuinely excited at the progress Abbie makes from vlog to vlog?! I catch myself cheering her on and when she learns something new i feel so proud of her! Love you guys! Thank you for sharing your journey!!
Love seeing her little smile again! Especially when putting the flowers in the car, it’s like she was planning her great escape and waited for the perfect moment. Happy that the meds are starting to work and that cute little smile is back! Have a good week (:
This is what I love about your channel, you show alot of love and show what it's like having an autistic daughter which is truly amazing. Thank you for your videos and keep on doing what you doing guys :) Love from a very chilly UK!
I swear dad’s have such quick reflexes! I’d be mid cough and my dad would already be giving me the Heimlich lol! That was no dad fail, that was a dad win.
I only recently discovered you guys. I subscribed solely based on the love this family shows towards one another. It is truly endearing. When you said, “Major Dad fail,” all I could think was this man clearly doesn’t see what everyone else sees. Your patience and devotion to your entire family is inspiring. I also love how Priscilla is so invested in her children’s happiness. Moral of the story: you guys are beautiful. I hope you all only continue to grow in love and strength.
I just found your channel and I've been binge watching for hours! You and Priscilla are unbelievably amazing, compassionate, patient parents and truly so inspiring. Im kinda ashamed of myself for being so impatient with such trivial things in life. My husband and I are going to (try to) start a family this year and you inspire me to want to be a great parent and better person in general. Your family is a joy to watch and Abbie is a doll.... I smile so much watching her. I hope you see this comment and it makes you smile as well :) Hugs from a snowy NJ.
When Abbie ran my heart stopped. I appreciate you showing the not so glamorous parts of life such as that incident. It's great to get a real glimpse into y'alls life. Always look forward to your vlogs ❤
This was the cutest vlog ever! You and Abbie have such a strong bond, Asa! That little stinker, she bribed you into getting her a milkshake. But I would have too! 😉 You are so sweet to take her out and spend quality time with her! Her smile just lights up my day! 😊❤️️ Much Love!
Tell Isaiah thank you for cleaning up after Pots pans and Pricilla. We appreciate him. 😊. I love shopping with my non verbal 10 year old and just like Abbie he can occasionally run for no apparent reason. Always scares me especially in parking lots. Thanks for sharing her trip to Lowes.
I was at Disney over the weekend and a boy prob 15 was yelling and making bird noises, because of your videos I explained to my husband he probably had autism please don’t stair at him . Love y’all !!!
First video I watch of this channel. I just want to say I look up to you and families that offer unconditional love and support for their children with autism and other disability’s. ❤️ you guys are truly hero’s with out capes! Keep up the good work! Definitely going to subscribe
It hurt me a lot when you said that it was a major dad fail. I think you do absolutely amazing. Don't down yourself like that. Autism has a lot of ups and downs and you handle them like an absolute boss. 💕
I just want to tell you how inspiring your fathering is, regardless of any disability! As a mother of 5, I know how challenging and exhausting parenting is... but you are truly one of the most dedicated and patient parents I've seen. You make me want to be better...as a parent, and as a person!
You're like the best dad out there....I learn so much from you about pateince....I have similar situation....much appreciate your entire family is absolutely inspiring
Just found your channel... and I love it, and your family! As a special needs teacher, it makes my heart so happy to see great family accepting and loving like yours.
Asa you did not fail in your parenting today! In fact you did awesome as always!! Going shopping is hard at the best of times however add in Abbie and going solo you are just making it more difficult. You should be so proud of what you achieve every day and how well you handle situations. Abbie is a blessed young lady to have you as a dad. It has taken the greater part of my life for my dad to even tell me he loves me let alone hug, do things with me. And now he is elderly it maybe getting too late. You pack so much quality love in each day. YOU ARE AWESOME!! Enough said!! Big hugs Asa!! And of course hugs for you all!!
Absolutely love watching you all . Abby is such a sweet girl and I applaud you as parents for stepping up and teaching her in ways she can learn and understand instead of doing what most parents do and just make excuses and just keeping there child inside . Every child learned differently ❣️
I love that sweet girl and that we all get to learn her signs of communication that normally would be overlooked if it weren't for you all informing us I just love that you share your lives with us thank you again for your transparency
Seeing you guys gives me the view of what other people on the spectrum are like. I was in a regular school, but didn't really understand friendship. Today I have friends and people who appreciate my company.
You guys are beautiful. I stumbled across your channel randomly and was curious to learn. It has touched my heart and I'm so humbled. Much love to you from across the globe. Xx
I came across your videos about 3 weeks ago. And I LOVE THEM! I watch them every night before I go to bed! I love watching the parents point of view of raising a child with autism
Thank you for just showing such honesty it's amazing so refreshing what a wonderful wonderful parent 💕 Inspiring beyond belief you amazing humans, what you do for autism awareness just brings tears to my eyes. Wish I wasn't English would just love to get a chance to speak to such wonderful wonderful people, endless thanks. Showing the good and the bad is incredible, such positive wonderful beautiful people 💕
She reminds me so much of my little sister. It’s crazy how similar they are. She loves to take her shoes off every where as well and she runs away too. It’s just all so scary. But it’s always okay at the end of the day.
This is the first video I have seen of yours and I have subscribed. You said you failed I really don't think you did as you were so quick to respond and kept her safe quickly. Don't be so hard on yourself.
You’re that perfect father that everyone needs.. wish my father had cared as much as you do about your kids. Keep doing what you’re doing. You’re far from a failure
We got our shirts in the mail yesterday!. They look great! We are so excited!. I love the fact that Maverick must have helped in the packaging (I found one black dog hair in the tape on the bag... It made me laugh!) Thanks for being the best family and making my day!
You are such a loving, patient dad and it's evident how much you love your daughter! (By the way, her smile could light up a room!) While I'm not the parent of an autistic child, I work with autistic children ranging in ages 11-15, and "eloping" is definitely not an uncommon occurrence on any given day. Throw in the wrench called puberty and things get even more complicated! I commend you on being an involved, step-up-to-the-plate kind of dad, and for knowing the importance of spending quality time with your daughter, whether or not she is able to express how much it means to her..because no doubt, it means a lot.
You did not fail as a dad your one of the greatest dads I know so don't be so hard on yourself at least you got her and she's safe! One day when I was little at the beach with my parents my dad left me because he forgot he was suppose to watch me well I got totally lost luckily my parents got me but it happens to even us kids who don't have anything wrong with us and know your doing a great job being a parent to both of your kids ! Keep your head up !
I just came across your channel, I am so,so understand what you and your family are going through. I have a severe autism young adult who just turn twenty one, she is also non verbal, so whenever I take her out and she make noises people would just stare and wisper, but I don't care anymore about people. Your wife is so lucky to have you,I don't have anyone to lean on,but God. What a beautiful family.
A father that go out and spend time with his nonverbal child and do everything to make her happy and enjoy life is the farthest from dad fail.... you are wonderful even if you have to run after her every now or then...

Outstanding comment I wanted to say the same thing when I heard him say that
The fact that he's there to run after her when she runs away is more than enough ❤ He's there and he's trying, that's what matters.
Major dad WIN! You kept the plant in your hand the whole time and got her. Nice.
Lol, I noticed that too. Wasn’t going to lose her or the plant!
xanxiety ......lol, first thing I said was, he still has the plant in his hand😂😂😂 Great Job!
I was impressed too! At first I thought he dropped it on the ground when he went to run but when he came back he still had it lol
baby prospect I noticed that too! haha
I didn't see that part.
Asa you are the definition of an awesome father! Abbie and Isaiah are lucky to have you!! You and Priscilla have raised two wonderful kiddos!!
You did not fail
That little stinker! 😸 She was planning that excursion since she placed the first plant on the truck ledge (very mischievous grin). Glad you got her back quickly!

Does anyone else get genuinely excited at the progress Abbie makes from vlog to vlog?! I catch myself cheering her on and when she learns something new i feel so proud of her! Love you guys! Thank you for sharing your journey!!
She was smiling when she looked at the flowers.
11:11-11:15 was so cute the way she touches and smiles at the flowers 😊
When her brother called her girly when she came inside made my heart melt🥰
Love seeing her little smile again! Especially when putting the flowers in the car, it’s like she was planning her great escape and waited for the perfect moment. Happy that the meds are starting to work and that cute little smile is back! Have a good week (:
Just the way you talk to her warms my heart, so gentle and loving. She's very lucky to have a father like you and such a great family!
She was so fast! I call that a successful shopping trip. I like how you told her thanks for going with you.
