CL is one helluva loyal woman to the Korean culture. She always talks about it, like, "Seoul city my city", "Best female Seoul city ever had", the cultural references in her songs and in live adlibs, too. That's something admirable for her to be bringing this aura everywhere to think she mostly grew up internationally (like, she was raised in Japan and France and attended international schools), but always stays true to her culture. I personally know people who tends to forget where they came from and their culture because they did not grow up in their mother country. It most definitely has to be the upringing, too. CL's parents, and her grandma are awesome.

Glad you really mentioned her feud with YG!!!! I should have known of course you will break it down like this!!!! Most of the time, I will defend for YG but what they have done to CL though........ Although, 2NE1's disbandment was not really YG's original intension I would say, since they've pushed CL's solo projects very hard through out 2015~2016 (because of netizens insane hates toward Bom, 2NE1 went through this unwanted hiatus and I think most people will agree that YG and CL tried their best to figure out a way to bring 2NE1 back at the time. To a point that CL was called the "YG's princess" back then could you even imagine😂) .....and all those happy tears we shed for 2015 MAMA...... we all thought that all CL's hard work finally pay off and 2NE1 really will soon be back.....but...well...
therefore did blackpink's debute really affect 2NE1's original schedule in 2016? Maybe.... But I personally am not that convinced since the new YG gril group is always said to be debut in 2016. Like actually it has already postponed for multiple times. If they want BP to replace 2NE1, then BP should have debut a little bit earlier. And of course we all are comparing the achievements of the two groups NOW in 2020, but during the time ......BLACKPINK is just this newbie rookie. They are from YG, of course to some extent their success is guaranteed but who expected this amount of popularity they have earned now? So that new girl group project really sounded "parallel" at the time. And even YG's "prettier 2NE1" statement didnt get this much of attensions cause it just sounded like saying "we don't produce treasures differently from BIGBANG just because they are prettier young boys. They are also very talented. We don't intend to make them different from BIGBANG. It is just we want to do a 12 people version this time. " ...like probably not a good analogy but hope you get what I mean. Still many people would think he didnt need to make a lame comment like this.. but waaaay less people misunderstood what he meant
So unlike most people, I really would not blame 2NE1's disbandment on YG. They really tried.Of course there were so many things they could done better and they definitely neglected the need and care for members like Minzy. And Minzy deserves a whole world (so what they have commented on Minzy's leaving .... )

Jessi is her senior. Jessi debuted first as a vocalist. She didn't make it to be an established singer back then and struggled a lot so she went back home to the US and went on hiatus for about 5 years. Then went back to Korea to start again, joined Unpretty rapstar in 2015, a rap competion show for women and that's how she became a singer/rapper now. She got popular because of that show, most especially in 2016 when she joined a variety show called Sister's Slamdunk. And the rest is history. While CL is already a singer/rapper since day 1. Cl wasn't dissing any artists in her song. BUT SHE'S DEFINITELY DISSING HER HATERS AND YG MNGT. CL is not the villain you all want her to be. Her personality is totally different from the beast that she is on stage. She's one of the nicest person out there. All the staff, PDs, artists, dancers, directors, co-artists, models, senior artists, junior artists from different industries and countries that met CL only have the most beautiful things to say about her. No bullying scandal from pre debut up to now. Even Jessi who was mentioned and the staff and former staff of YG only have good things to say about her except YG big bosses and her haters. And yeah, I just wanna clear the dissing part. People might misunderstood. Even CL's new fans thought she's dissing some groups because she's not.
Dissing somebody would never make her a villain it’s part of rap music. It’s a competitive genre. I definitely might be wrong about her talking about Jessi but just because Jessi is CL’s senior doesn’t mean that Jessi can’t be a biter or heavily influenced by someone newer. I see it all the time. Logic has been dropping tapes before Travis Scott ever rose to fame and it’s easy to tell on Logic’s Bobby Tarantino stuff, he sounds like Travis. I love em both, same with Jessi & CL. Music is supposed to influence us. CL is definitely saying some artists sound like her here. Idk who, Jessi was the first one that came to my mind because they do sound similar. They could have rap beef and still be cool its happened so many times and it’s fun to watch (Nas & Jay-Z, Joyner & Tory, Ice Cube & Dr. Dre, etc.)

Most of those fans portray her as this arrogant and bitter bitch who's jealous of their younger idols. They all took it in a very wrong way. They all have this one sided beef against CL. It's just really sad because they constantly bully CL and even tagging her in her social media accs because they all thought CL is jealous of their idols.
