That wooden plank at the garden edge that overlapped the front step was just a complete no no. I knew you’d cut it George, and I was on edge until you did. I’d seen the video of you doing the makeover on the side a backyard of this house, which was an incredible transformation, but I hadn’t seen the front yard, til now. What a difference you have made! Those big bushes help with road noise also, with that busy street in the front. Not only did you make it look nice but all that dry grass is a fire hazard too! That is a deceptively large yard! How nice for all the walkers not to have to go out in the street to pass by. As usual, you did a great job!
Not sure how I missed this and #2! Boy, you sure stumbled upon lots of bricks and the like. This front yard alone must've taken you forever! I'm glad you kept the bushes near the road, as it is probably VERY noisy, and for privacy. A lot of landscapers don't consider that at all. And we were rewarded for staying until the end! With kids, this yard needs to be usable and with a lot of overgrowth, it will take some work to become neat. Not only are you cutting back the overgrown shrubs, but finding design lines in the process. What will be nice, this will be ready for the warmer months ahead. I like the clearing of the pedestrian sidewalk and the thoughtful clearing of the home power line from windblown limbs. (28:46, thanks for cutting back that too-long border board, I was mumbling it was guaranteed to trip someone at some point.) That was a good final tour of your work. It was possible to see the home was again accessible and neat and that the passers by had a clear walk as well. It felt much more peaceful and I hope the owners enjoy the change.

lol, I do too sometimes - some plants look at their best after trimming, some... need to grow in a little! The lavender looked a little shocked and forlorn, but will come back happier. I think the space left by taking out the shrub too close to its neighbour by the drive can now be replanted, if wanted.

lol, I do too sometimes - some plants look at their best after trimming, some... need to grow in a little! The lavender looked a little shocked and forlorn, but will come back happier.
I think the space left by taking out the shrub too close to its neighbour by the drive can now be replanted, if wanted.
