omg girl i am right with you. as someone who deals with depression too, i have to say that my first priority is “real” self care. that doesn’t always mean doing a face mask or journaling (although these can be helpful), taking care of your basic needs can make all the difference. this skill i learned from my therapist is called the “PLEASE” skill. where you treat PhysicaL illness, have balanced Eating, avoid mood-Altering drugs, balanced Sleep and getting Exercise. this is obviously easier said then done, but doing something a day to contribute to your overall health like taking a hot girl walk, an everything shower or even snacking on something healthier can make you feel so much better.
