today i saw a providence and worcester freight train pass on those rails. i thought it was pretty awesome, since you dont see to much freight trains around here
Yeah but they really apply it only at major stations such as New York, Boston, Washington ETC. Because I go down to stations like Kingston, Providence, and a few others and I dont get questioned. Plus This station here is on Metro North Territory (which Amtrak doesnt own), so they have their own rules. They say you can take pictures as long as you dont trespass in any way or dont interfere with the operations
the thing I hate about the Acela is there is no coach I believe and that's bad for weekends when there is not that much bussnes travel and the FRA won,t let Amtrack run it at the speeds it was attended to run
Great shots! Under Amtrak's stupid new photo rules, all of your videos are prohibited unless you had a ticket and were about to get on the train. That has to be the stupidest photo rule yet, even worse than NJT's that prohibited any photo of any train, even from public property. If enough of us make a stink about the rules, maybe Amtrak will change them.
"It's the stupid terrorist attacks on 9/11 that caused these stupid rules.>:" I disagree, it was the attacks that caused the inane hysteria that caused these logic-less rules.

awsome horn and awsome catches escspecally the corrida clippa!
Awesome video. I see the BL20s have taken over the Danbury Branch. I thought at least one of them would've been a P32.
Now adays just about anything will go up both the Danbury and Waterbury branch’s
Nice. The Corridor clipper is the Amtrak Geom car, they attach it to the back of Regionals to test out the tracks, see how the train performs.
Nice. The only time I saw P&W on Metro North territory was one time when I was on my way to NY on the Acela, and we passed them in New Rochelle NY.
excellent video!

Are the m8s going into more testing? Just curios
Was this at the station on the platform, or from a parking lot or something nearby?
How fast is the Acela going to be able to go on Metro North track once the track work is done?
Prob, Im not from here, ask someone who has videos of the NHV line here
Still probably not more than 90mp since Metro-North doesn't allow tilting
i believe that is a k5la horn
It's actually track 1 but good guess though!
I love AEM-7 horns but I hate it when they hit high notes
pretty sweet dude
Nice!
Ah the Danbury Flyer
