Is it better to work in inches or millimeters? I am working on designing accessories for an AK. I have someone who owns a CNC machine and a metal lathe to actually machine the parts.
Most beginners won't have access to a lathe and I am trying to keep from discouraging newcomers by making them think they need to invest in an expensive piece of equipment. That is a discussion after they feel comfortable with what they are doing but I do appreciate your interest

I just DON'T like digital calipers. I do absolutely adore my Starrett dial calipers.
