Good to know, thanks! I'm sure I misidentify an awful lot in the lower and middle lias. Might need to do more Holderness exploring where you get all the things so I've got no excuse to not learn the IDs
A very low tide isn't needed, but definitely helps. If there are onshore winds or higher seas, a tide that small could be dangerous even at low tide. You will know pretty quickly if it's safe to progress as the major cutoff is shortly after the wreck as you head north. Still plenty that can be found before getting all the way around though. A good map is here, that cutoff is the star between 9 and 10. earthwise.bgs.ac.uk/index.php/Lower_and_Middle_Jurassic_rocks_between_Robin_Hood%27s_Bay_and_Hawsker_Bottoms_-_an_excursion#/media/File:YGS_YORKROCK_FIG_18_01.jpg

Thanks! Always good to get out, and fun to collect somewhere I don't visit that often.
Some good finds Andrew ❤
Definitely can't complain! It was a fun day out and a few goodies to bring home. Thanks for watching!
I loved the Hannah shoutout! She is the only one I have seen post about Yorkshire crustaceans.
I've seen a few now, just not a lot of repeats and Hannah's work is stunning
All androgs at the start, find them often in those shelly blocks along the holderness too👍

Another great video, many thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching!
Ahahah you have found the block from which we removed a big amaltheus. Fabrice has it now. It is a stunning example.
Ah, so it was you who got it out. I realised it was an Amaltheus from the shape of the keel. Would love to see a pic of it!
@@dinoskool I think it’s the same block, if there was another one I would be really amazed.
Some lovely stuff there!
Thanks! Very pleased with the Amaltheus and hope the Pleuro middle is there
Anyone else think that brown rock at 8:43 was a seal 😂😂
😂 I hadn't even noticed that. Thanks for the laugh this morning!
@@dinoskoolfirst person to find a fossilised seal 😂
@@CushtyBelta In Yorkshire. Plenty from other parts of the world!
Great video again 😊
Thanks for watching again!
Is a very low tide needed to go this way? I’m thinking of going on November 22nd but low tide is only 2.6 meters
