Hi Sara. Thank you for this comprehensive and must needed video. These extraits are way too expensive to blind buy so it is amazing that you have reviewed them for us.
Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts Sarah! ❤🥰😘I think I neglected to answer the comments under this video somehow. I rarely forget. I must have had more than I can chew on my plate at the time.😊They are certainly way too expensive to blind buy!😳 $630 is a lot of money! 😲I'm so glad that I could do a review for you all! 😊I have two full sets of Guerlian Extrait perfume samples (the 6 extrait perfumes). I will be doing a give away that includes one sample set. 😊
Tomorrow I am picking up Feve Gourmande at my local department store and I am definitely going to request some samples of your top picks from this collection. I am really impressed that you were able to acquire samples of all six with purchase of a L'Art et Matieres fragrance. I'm going to push for it and will see if they are willing to give me at least three when I pick up my Feve.
I'm so glad that you got your hands on Feve Gourmand! 😍Do you have the original Gourmand Coquin? If you do, how do you think they compare? I was lucky to have gotten so many samples thanks to all my purchases through Place Vendome.😊I purchased bought a LOT from them, so I got all those samples with my purchases. 😊You should push for more samples. I don't understand why sellers are so reluctant to give out samples. It benefits them more than us. If they give us samples, perhaps we will buy more! Why can't they understand that?
Hi Latonya love! 🥰❤Sorry, it took so long to answer comments under this video. I was swamped at the time when this video went live. 😰Thank you for the compliments on the Christimas tree! ❤I loved last year's tree design a lot! 😍
Hi Sara. I picked up my Feve today and they only had samples of Jasmin and Bergamote for me. Too bad. I really wanted Rose, Vanilla and Iris too. The jasmine smells amazing and potent off the card. Can't wait to try it on skin. The only one I tried on skin was Iris and I really think that the drydown is off the charts amazing. That's the one I am going to get eventually. Totally agree with you on the Tonka. I think that was a missed opportunity to be honest. The Rose smells out of this world beautiful on the card! I would love to try that one on myself one day soon. For me, the Vanilla was pretty but not strong enough for the cost of the fragrance. Having said that, I only sprayed it on the card. The SA told me that people are buying Iris the most because it is being hyped as the main foundational ingredient in most Guerlain fragrances--apparently that's the true signature (although they all are). Can't wait to hear your thoughts in the next few months after you have had a chance to try your samples some more.
I'm so happy to hear that you picked up Feve Gormand! 😊How do you like it? Do you have the original Gourmand Coquin? How does to compare to the OG? Jasmine one smells divine! I want that one in my collection for sure! 🤩I think I'm going to get it in the old bee bottle, which you can do now. You can customize to get a bee bottle and engraving and you can customize your cord color etc. 😊The Iris one is so feminine in a super sexy and classy way at the same time.😍The tonka one is a missed opportunity for sure. It's doesn't hit the spot and doesn't come close to what I expected.😊 I really want the rose one too! I'm eventually going to get full bottles of Iris, Rose and Jasmine. 😊I agree with you about the vanilla one too. It's not potent enough and unique enough. I'm not surprised that the Iris one is the most popular. 😊Thank you for taking the time to share your experience love! ❤🥰😘I'm still testing them and leaning towards getting the Iris first, then Jasmine and Rose. ❤
I am looking forward to your review of the line. The L'Art et Matieres collection is my favourite fragrance line and I have ten of them now, which is a lot for just a regular consumer. It says how much I love the DNA. It will be so cool to hear your perspective, Sara. There are three fragrances in the line that are popular but that I can't stand on me. So it will be interesting to watch and see if you like them and if they smell good on you. I will definitely comment when you release that video
I adore the L'Art et Matieres collection! 😍I think I'm addicted to it. I keep buying more of them from Place Vendome! 😊They are so expensive, so I have to pace myself. 😊I love the Guerlian DNA, especially the ones that came out in the last decade.😊I uploaded another video after this reviewing the ENTIRE EDP collection too! 😊Did you see that? This video was just a review of the extrait collection. There are six of them in the extrait line. 😊
I love Guerlain Vanille Planifolia but I love Rose Centerfolia, Iris Palliada and Jasmine Grandiforum even more! ❤❤❤They are super expensive! 💲💵 I don't know why they jacked up the prices so high! 😱I have to pace myself a bit with these too. I'm going to get Iris Pallida first and eventually, Rose Centerfolia and Jasmine Grandiflorum. 😊
Thank you so much for ranking them! Does vanille planifolia remind you of ivory route? I just keep seeing references to the bazaar spice market so curious about that, I hope not. I can't decide between vanille and iris pallida, you ranked iris #4 but for me I'm thinking the iris would be my first and vanille would be my 2nd. I'm surprised iris torrefie is getting discontinued, that one was so under appreciated!
It is very different. Ivory Route has spices and woods going on but Vanille Planifolia is simply vanilla. Imagine vanilla bean cream. I have all their vanilla perfumes from the L’Art et la Matiere line but this one sadly did not wow me enough. I think it’s not worth the price because it is the weakest of them all. The iris one is really nice though! My favourite along with the Tonka. It is a very creamy “white” iris. The sandalwood is makes this even more creamy and the touch of vanilla is very much appreciated! The iris scent is very clean IMO. Hope this helps!
Thank you so much! I have the rectangular of Tonka Imperiale and I love it so much more than Feve Delicious. Is Tonka Extrait similar? I also love Iris Torrifie, is it similar to that one without the coffee note?
@@bettybbags Before I begin, I have to tell you that I am speaking based on the new bottle of Tonka Imperiale - so I hope the smell is the same. TI has herbal/aromatic qualities from the rosemary note and it is quite weak IMO. I have to overspray it to make it last longer. Tonka Extrait is basically TI without that aromatic hint. It is Tobacco Honey without the syrupy tobacco. It is Shalimar Millesime Tonka without the florals and leather. You just get blasted in the face by delicious tonka. It is creamy but somehow does not feel too foody. There is a hint of cocoa in the background. It is very potent, so two/three sprays is enough. I am so happy about this haha! I am sure you will loooove the Tonka Extrait! I personally couldn’t get myself to like Iris Torrefie because of that strong cardamom note. I never found the coffee note in it. I think the Iris Extrait is slightly different than IT - mainly being more “white” and creamy. And yes, no coffee note here! No cardamom too 😂 I would pick the extrait version over IT.
@@asyrafmutalib8898 I am familiar with all your references so this is so appreciated and helpful! This is why I love this hobby and fragcomm 💕 IT reads so differently to my nose, I get exactly lipstick and black expresso. I don’t get cardamom. I love Iris Shalimar so much more than Tonka Shalimar, but Initial L’eau is my absolute favorite Shalimar. Pure vanilla always vanishes on my skin, Tihota requires 20 sprays for me to smell it for 10 minutes 😆 which extraits have you or do you plan to buy? I think I will buy just Iris Pallida and skip the rest 🥰
Night blooming jasmine is stunning! 😍I grew up with it too! 😊When I woke up in the morning and went outside, the whole garden was filled with the scent of night blooming jasmine. 😍It sure is a sweet memory.❤
I have heard that these extraits can be used for layering and aren't exclusively meant to wear as a fragrance on their own. I look forward to hearing your thoughts once you have picked up a full bottle of one of them and start wearing the fragrance.
I can see why they would be good for layering because they have a very obvious dominant note in each of them and can be layered with other perfumes with that note. I will be placing my order for the Iris Pallida next month. I just dropped a lot of cash on something. So, I have to wait. 😊
She said she got them with her purchase of a full bottle of a fragrance from the L'Art et Matieres line. It's hard to get samples without making a purchase first but counters like Saks and Neiman Marcus Guerlain counters will have testers of these that you can test in-store.
I live in France. I placed an order for Fève Gourmand, Vanille Planifolia extrait, Iris Pallida extrait and I did not get even the possibility to order samples of the extrait.
Hi love! 🥰❤It was not my favorite out of the 6 but I can see how it would appeal to many others! 😊I'm just not a fan of that particular strong, raw, bitter tonka scent. I just bought the Iris Pallida for my birthday! 🤩
Vanille Planifolia is my top. In my opinion, it's the best Guerlain vanilla scent. The only down side of this collection it is its ridiculous high price.
Hi Matt! 🤗I'm from Sri Lanka. Yes, those are two of the top ones for me too! Iris is the most interesting. Though I love the jasmine one, Iris is more interesting. 😊

How does Iris Pallida compare to Belle Ami as the best Iris fragrance? 🥰
Excited.... here we go...
Hi Pattie! ❤
I grew up with what we called nite blooming Jasmine. I loved it so. It was blooming when we woke in the morning. I so loved it. Sweet memory.❤
