Actually after Loma’s last fight Tank tweeted about him. That’s why the reporters even asked Tank about Loma. I’m a tank fan but the truth is Tank and his team has didn’t want the Loma fight when he was at his prime. Anytime someone asked about the possibility of Tank fighting Loma the question was either immediately shut down or just flat out ignored. Now after all these years Tank wants to fight Loma. lol Come on now it’s pretty obvious why now.

Why do they keep saying stevenson is a big risk for tank? Tank has shown he knows how to cut off the ring and as soon as he sees your power fade he hunts you down and unloads. The most stevenson can do is run away effectively but eventually he gonna get caught with shots. And that only would be enough to give tank a decision or ko win. Stevenson showed that if you got power he is afraid to engage with you cause he doesnt want to get hit at all.

It's about money! Lomachenko generate a good paid day. Shakur Stevenson won't generate the money like Lomachenko does. If we're going by last fight? Stevenson didn't do anything to impressed the fans. He had a very boring fighter. Fans aren't making excuses for boxers by saying certain fights are boring. The truth is the truth!! No one wants to pay for a boring and unexcited fight! People goes to the fights to see actions and be entertain not to fall asleep at the fight. Shakur last fight was boring and he did nothing to impress anyone or draw excitement to see him fight someone like Tank or Haney or García. Today, fighters are looking for the big payday and low risk fights however, if they're going to take the risk?! They want to make certain it's worth it and that they can sell the fight!! Fighters get the real money from the pay per view payday. Don't get me wrong, I want to see the big names fighters fight the big draw fights. But I do understand why, they want the max dollars for the high risk fights, because one day you are relevant and everybody loves you. Then the next minute, you can be forgotten and broke and out of boxing.
People need to take into account Benavidez has only just moved up. It takes time to adjust to a new weight. He had a decent performance. Though i think Bivol and Beterbiev would be too much for Benavidez. They both have higher ring IQs, better at controlling distance. Watch the Benavidez v Plant fight. Benavidez over reached at times when Plant used his movement. If he does that with Bivol he'll make him pay. I can't see Benavidez walking forward when Beterbiev is tagging him with shots. Think Beterbiev would stop him late in fight.

The same people that hate Shakur are the same people that loved Floyd last 25 fights. Young Shakur is an older Floyd. No a lot of power, ring control, and clinch. He can beat Tank just like Floyd beat all those fighters that had more power than him.

People need to stop disrespecting boxers. Where exactly can a fighter run in a ring? They are called movers or ring technicians, not runners. Despite what fans demand, boxing is more than, stay in front of the opponent and bang. Movers/technicians, are generally who stand out. Fight fans remember fighters like Ali, Leonard, Whitaker, Jones Jr, Mayweather, Mark Johnson, Ricardo Lopez, Rigondeaux and Lomachenko, for a reason. They all had the ability to make their opponent miss amd pay, had a high skill level and movement, Shakur Stevenson is cut from that cloth. Like everyone else, Gervonta Davis will avoid Stevenson like the plague! If Martin could touch Davis up like that, I can see Shakur dominating Davis.

Author might be old but hes great at walking guys beautifully with affective pressure cutting off the ring so that he can walk guys into something devastating. It was a given that david was gonna be way to fast for bosdic who is 38 years old and he hasn't been active in like 3 years. Some here on TH-cam were saying david would loose to bosdic and i kept telling people in the comments that They need to stop looking at bossdic as the prime active fighter he was before instead of the old fighter that has barely fought recently. David was tired by the mid rounds and his power shots that he usually knocks the smaller 154-160 pounders that he brings up to fight them at 168 weren't hurting vosdic at 175 at all . And they won't hurt bivol, beterbieve or even callum or any other honestly. I think David is food for everyone at 175

Tank has almost all the tools to beat anyone in or around his weight class. Shakur needs a memorable performance, in order to really create the most hype behind a fight against Tank. Lemme see Shakur's next fight now, I want to see what he's going to do.

At one point I found myself a very big Canelo fan, to the point where even my Mom became a fan of his and she could care less about boxing haha 😂
But as the years pass he is just so much less and less interesting of a boxer. He doesn’t put on any fights that are even close to 50/50 competitiveness. All of his fights are at least 70/30 75/25 in favor of himself compared to the opponents he has been choosing to compete with. It’s really a shame because he may have had a chance to go down in the true top upper echelon of fighters but those chances are fading away. He’s still in a very high place in regards to his legacy, but if you can be objective about it there are many many fighters above Canelo…. Maybe he’s just getting old but it’s not a good way to have your career close out.
Of course these are all the thoughts and ramblings of a complete nobody (myself), these are simply some wacky guys opinions. You don’t have to like them, that’s what makes talking about the sport so fun. I have seen Canelo’s greatness and the excitement he created, I guess I am just holding him to a bit of a higher standard. I will be the first person to give him props if he actually goes through with the Benavidez fight and destroys him. I will have no problem telling anyone who will listen how stupid I was to think otherwise. I’m just a guy who loves boxing and has great admiration for the men who risk their wellbeing in the ring for our entertainment and their legacy. I will be more than happy if I see the day where Canelo proves what I previously said to be wrong. Have a good one man.
Tank started at 126 and it’s nothing Shakur can do to beat Tank. He can’t do nothing better but run. Y’all thought a boxer was going to give him problems. Tank was never uncomfortable he was never frustrated so he didn’t have problems. Shakur has never been in the ring with anybody as fast, as good as a counter puncher, that can smoke you with either hand. Tank will never be scared to throw against Shakur but on the other hand Shakur is not throwing the way he does against anybody else against Tank. Benavidez was hesitant after round 8, and probably saved his gas to survive in case something went wrong. His dad even said be careful. However, comparing Canelo's recent trip to 175 to Benavidez's fight at 175, Benavidez did not look out of place (Benavidez had the size). Canelo looked tiny v Bivol. Maybe Canelo should have faced Joe Smith, but his team saw something in Bivol they thought they could exploit. I know Joe Smith was still seen as dangerous with KO power, but could have been out boxed by Canelo. Canelo probably would not fight David, but Idk why Canelo wants to hold on to the belts if he can see that belts mean zilch to Davis and that has had 0 affect on his career (besides criticism from true boxing fans).

@@CrushDontRush it could have been the new WBA rule. I don’t know if it came into affect yet or not, but fighters aren’t allowed to rehydrate more than ten pounds under their rule
The stipulation was initially meant to take affect in this fight but was later taken out.
“WBA president Gilberto Mendoza confirms that there will be a WBA-mandated rehydration clause in the Tank Davis-Frank Martin fight,” Mannix posted on X. “In a text message to @SInow, Mendoza says there will be a 12-pound rehydration limit that was “based on recent events.” Mendoza did not respond when asked if this was WBA policy for all sanctioned fights.”
Then later:
“Been asked this a lot past couple of days. Here’s the answer: No, there is no rehydration clause for #DavisMartin,” Rafael posted. “[The] WBA is planning to follow IBF by requiring fight morning weight check. But this fight [Davis vs Martin] was already done, and it won’t be part of it. Possible for future WBA title bouts.
