Dave, you've nailed the most important skill of interviewing: when to listen and let the interviewee talk. So rare these days.10.0. Thank you.

I can’t imagine how much gymnastics reporters must hate you, Dave! 😉 This is amazing, thank you for delivering the goods!

They have no need to hate me. I help most reporters who ask for help and are earnest. There are some reporters I will choose not to collaborate with or assist.

Dave, this is amazing work! Rarely do we see an interviewer who knows more than just the "talking points" of a subject. You did a great job engaging Geza and I'm sure he hasn't been interviewed by someone so knowledgable. Thank-you!

This is such a great interview, you really get in there and ask the juicy questions. I wish you would interview former Romanian gymnasts such as Emilie Aberle because all of the interviews on you tube with them can’t be translated to English via their videos. We can read the comment with translation but i want to hear the interviews. Apparently a lot of the gymnasts have spoken about the abuse from Bella but i want you to interview them because you know just what to ask and how. Also the gymnasts who trained at Deva under Octavian too. I know that a lot won’t talk negatively about him but those who do deserve to be heard world wide and not just in Romania. Please, please please interview them. One coach in Romania hit his gymnast so much she literally died in the locker room. He totally got away with it cos it was labelled as acceptable punishment for an elite gymnast. Absolutely disgusting!

Really enjoy these kind of long format interviews. There is enough structure that you are guiding the convo but the guest is relaxed and very chatty and honest (opposite of typical lame scripted, speaking point, key message-y and rushed interviews on mainstream media). P.S. I enjoyed zooming in on his bookshelf and wall art!

Thank you for this thoughtful, thorough interview. Thank you for listening, and allowing Pozsar to speak freely. Fascinating to hear his stories, very revealing about the psychology and history behind the Karoly legacy. As a dancer, I also enjoyed the stories of how how he works with individual gymnasts.

Very interesting interview. I feel very conflicted about Geza. It’s good he’s speaking out now but I find it difficult to understand how Geza could be friends with the Karolyis despite witnessing the years and years of abuse. Not just in Romania, but in the US too.

I’m a huge gymnastics fan like you Dave and I understood every aspect of that podcast. I wish we could get together and just chat about gymnastics as a fan. I ran into Márta once at the Seattle airport as the team was departing the pacific alliance championships in 2012 and i told her congratulations and she was so cold and awkward as if I she saw me as if I was a very disgusting, mediocre, insignificant person but I was just simply just letting her know I was attended the meet and was a fan.

Thank you for another outstanding interview and for asking all the questions that gym fans have been dying to hear! Thrilling! I watched it twice. Loved how you impressed him with your knowledge and totally won him over by the end of the interview. Phoebe Mills as an "accountant"??? Dominque Moceanu was "spooky"???? Thank you for turning my attentoin to Michelle Campi's floor routines; I have decided her 1992 one has got to be one of the loveliest of all time. Hope there is a part two, would love to hear the story behind Eberle's infamously bad floor routine!

What a good interview and what a storyteller! Brings back memories of Atlanta. I remember staying up until early morning european time to watch the team event. Devil went down to Georgia was good. But my favourites were by Dina Kochetcova, Podkopayeva and for some reason, Simona Amanar's. With a special mention for 'la Sveta', falling to the floor like Katarina Witt and popping her head up at the final beat
