I feel as if this area could actually exist in hollow knight, maybe just under the blue lake, the waterfalls all flowing with strenght just to deposit above the city of tears, it could work! I love this.
I've seen everything there is to see in this game, and i NEED more. Another area (or silksong) like this would be perfect. I can picture in my head what Serene Falls would look like. And i NEED it.
The serene falls, home of the ghosts and lair of Pale King's most faithful and powerful knight. Once it was a part of crystal mines, but after unknown events all area became drowned, making it uninhabitable for most bugs. But no bugs means no plague. Those who left there seems to resist to it, and I don't think a souls of damned and mannequins can even be infected. The most danger of this lands is Undying Knight. If the rumor is true, we should be careful - Idk, probably some dialogue from Hollow Knight's monster kid equivalent
This make me want to draw a location that captures both waterfall and somewhere like city of tears or maybe the forgotten crossroads, a hybrid of both games for this audio to play bc that sounds cool!
@@rygel_bluestarit is a _little bit_ darker-sounding than normal Waterfall. Especially the... low strings that play those four notes in that specific order (1:18).... at least double the amount of times than I remember hearing in this video (by which I mean, it's supposed to have played that melody more times?)? And then the unexplained missing notes that started happening at the very end, afterwards. Both give a feeling of wrongness that probably create the "spooky" factor. Edit: minor fixes+timestamp and yeah... this video only plays that part twice while the original song plays it four times.

I personally prefer Strawberry Demon's, but I wanted to explore since youtube kept recommending this to me, though I will say their version of 1:18, -while played the correct number of times,- is a bit... quieter? Doesn’t swell as much as I think it should've? Idk. Both of these interpretations have their ups and downs.
