HIWAYHOBO Bryce well done . You have opened a new world to caravaners . Only in extreme areas do you warrant a hi - rise van. You can only tow them where the tow vehicle diff will clear the ground . Our vans only an on-road van. The number of times we’ve pulled into a caravan park and people have these fancy brand new off-road vans with 4 metres clearance and independent suspension etc. and here’s us with red dirt up to the ceiling from off-road 🤣🤣 it gets us 99% of the places an ‘off-road’ would

@@dean4817 you think an off-road van has different construction? Keen to see where you got your info? It’s mostly chassis and suspension differences I’ll bet

I must say this was one of the BEST and most informative episodes I've watched. And to see how you guys visit all these places and show us how you make it happen with what you've got, really shows us that you don't need to spend mega bucks to do the same. Very informative episode. We'll done!
That water in Coral bay is from the artesian bore. It will rust through anything. The town is now on scheme water so not sure why you didn’t get any fresh water. Good video, thanks.
We traveled on the Gibb in a new age 18’’ & had only one fault the water pump fell off , but fixed it . Great drive. As you said drive to the conditions. Love you show.
Hi guys, noticed your tv was still on the bracket after all the travelling over corrugated roads. Just a tip, it pays to remove the antenna cable from the tv….vibration of the cable connected to tv can break the solder joint of the antenna plug in the tv…just a tip for what it’s worth…your videos are the best, the wife and I love watching them.
Great video. I just bought a 1995 17ft Jayco Discovery caravan. because we were told we had to move out at the end of the lease in February. We are looking forward to getting on the road.
Hi Bryce and Chelsea, can’t get enough of your videos. How do you find your portable washing machine and would you recommend it? Stay safe and continue to make more amazing memories together.
Hey! Thanks so much for watching! We love it. Obviously would love one inbuilt into the caravan but for a portable washer it’s good 👍🏽 we don’t use the spin dry function because it’s just easier to ring out by hand. It’s a very good price you can buy them from Everything Caravan and Camping. It’s a 3KG Devanti.
Alway go back to when Dick Smith took and old Viscount van out to middle of Australia, if you drive to the conditions you’ll take them anywhere. But I suppose it’s all about the marketing to sell! Always look forward to you videos, very enjoyable. Thank you
My parents have an on-road van that they regularly take to Ningaloo, Landor Races etc. They did replace the axles with heavy duty ones as they bowed. The only thing with on-road is sometimes you don’t have much clearance if you’ve got to go through a washout. As you say, it depends on what you want to do, where you want to go and how often you want to do it. We went full off-road, and covered as much rugged tracks as we did bitumen over 2 years. I think if we had an on-road van, it wouldn’t have finished our trip. And yes, we let the tyres down and drove steady.
Hey Kym thanks for watching and commenting 👍🏽 One day we will get an off road caravan but until we can afford it our on-road caravan will do nicely 🥰 We’ve raised up the caravan by welding in a 4inch beam 👍🏽
Top comments about vann... Leaf very good, independent better... Repair bloke told. Me.... Drop yr tyre pressure, drop yr speed and dont be a flog behind the wheel... And should be ok.
Thank you for the awesome video again. A big huge thank you for letting everyone know about off-road as we thought we had to go and buy a off-road van for little places to go if that makes sense. That is a big plus as that was one thing that was stopping me from travelling. We have the motorhome but would like a van as well. Thank you again.

Hi Chelsea and Bryce, As usual a great video. I’m just curious as to the kind of fishing rods you use, are they surf rods? Most off road vans don't fall apart on the Gibb, caravans fall apart if you drive like a dck, there is massive difference between on and off road vans, having owned both, height and suspension being the main, underbody protection and so on, that said your in a great spot stayed there a few times, keep cruising and having fun life is short by the way ,nice 🐟 🐠
