Cheer Extreme was just getting the recognition they deserved during my last year of allstar (2007-2008 season). I've been following them since then & though I love their program, they seem to be having a hard time reinventing themselves. The ball up 360 was crazy good in my day, along with the tick tocks & intricate pyramids...but now the norm is double ups, gyms with TEAM standing fulls (or just about), & crazy tumbling; & mind you, many teams in this division do these things "flawlessly". The 720 ball ups (it was taken out for Worlds), pyramids at the end of the routine, & general "dreaminess" of this team alone is no longer enough to guarantee the win; other teams have stepped up & they're pushing the boundaries while having extreme difficulty & scoring at the top of the execution ranges...& every point counts. No hate on them, it's just obvious that they'll need to seriously reinvent themselves if they really want to "be back for redemption"!
I don't understand "the judges told them to take them out" like no. The judges pointed out that they're all under rotated. Courtney decided to take them out based on that. It is not the judges fault that they had under rotated doubles, it is Courtney's for willingly putting them in the routine in the first place when they weren't executed properly, and whoever their tumbling trainer is for not teaching them correct technique. Like they were awesome, don't get me wrong, but don't blame the judges for the teams inability to max out that section of the score sheet.
Bree Robinson We're not blaming the judges at all. Its just that it occured that some of the doubles were underrotated and thats why they lost. The girls who had underotated doubles didn't execute them like that all year but Courtney took them out just to be sure.
Y'all see, to neglect the fact that they threw ZERO standing fulls, which accounts for a huge lack of difficulty in standing tumbling... There's no way they seriously thought they'd win without them...
You do not need standing fulls to win worlds. The one to fulls which nearly the entire team did equal about the same on the score sheet. They threw standing fulls at one of their comps this year and they looked sloppy. It looks way better to have almost the whole team doing well executed standing fulls than a couple of girls doing sloppy standing fulls. Plus, if I remember correctly Senior Elite won worlds in 2012 with not one standing full on the mat.
@brittney 2012 was THREE years ago!! things have changed and what the judges are looking for have obviously changed in those three years. what the judges wanted years ago is gonna change from what they want now. it's normal for stuff to change. they want the teams to get better and they do every year which raises the bar. se is a fantastic team but they should've put them in. even if they were sloppy in the beginning of the yr, they could've cleaned them up and worked on them by the end of the season!
@Alaina M you're exactly right! A lot of the rules in tumbling has changed since 2012! Remember the coaches practically blew up USASF for the rule changes that took in effect in 2013? Thank you Alaina
After some reflection, I'm not surprised that SE didn't win. It didn't look like SE were aiming to max out the score sheet this year, which is what you need to do now if you want to win this division. I was also disappointed by their actual routine. It seems as the though the coaches loved the routine and music so much that they refused to give themselves leeway to make changes to GET THEM POINTS! And we've all seen the score sheets; just tenths can make a difference. I used to like their dance, but to accommodate the standing tumbling that they skipped out on initially, they sped up the music too much and it sounded horrible. Plus, the standing tumbling wasn't at large senior standard, or the standard of previous years. Also, it took 16 counts to get into the stunt section. 16 counts of nothing, with a simple entry into the heel stretch. I know that not every flyer can be super flexible, so I won't pick on that, but there is no excuse for horribly positioned high Vs. It's only a fraction of the flyers, but it makes a difference. I'm being critical because I love this team, and when they do win I want there to be a unanimous agreement that they are the worthy champions (the 'unanimous' probably won't happen, but how would you dispute an absolutely perfect routine, eh? ;D). They always have the pyramid and dance down, which is great but Courtney needs to push the girls in terms of difficulty in stunts, tumbling and execution... And these girls are totally capable of this!
Why on planet earth would they take out 4 (maybe more) perfectly (most of them) executed doubles in standing and running tumbling? Some they took out throughout the season, but at least 3 of them they took out after hitting on day one... Seriously? Besides, who goes to worlds and expects to win with 2 FAKE TUCKS? TUCKS? And they also took out 2 nice and flexible scorpions from day 1... Senior Elite always does that... They always change things the very last minute and most of the time this has been proved to not work. Why change things overnight? You should take a routine to worlds that you feel 100% confident about, not rush to adjust the last minute... The past 2 years SE has put out way less than what they are capable of. Seriously, CEA you need to check yourself, you have so much more potential.
cheerandacro The doubles they took out were Jenee's and Shayla cause they were under-rotated and didn't want to risk it. Harlie (last pass) just didn't throw hers. Payton and Katie scorpion's weren't as flexible so they took it out. I prefer them risking things to try to win then don't risk anything and just hope they'll place higher. It worked in 2012 and 2013. They are not going stop doing it
PowerTheCrew Payton and Katie's scorpions weren't as flexible all year through day 1 at worlds. Did they just realize it that day? I prefer them working on perfecting a routine all season than rushing to change the little things at worlds. If they were 100% ready there would be no reason to risk anything. It doesn't work anymore.
I don't even know what she's trying to do, but I love the center flyer's hand motions at 0:31 idk why it's so satisfying and seems like it goes with the music
That's not saying much lol. What IS saying much is the fact that Jenee's tumbling has drastically gone downhill since being with this CEA tumbling coach. In Smoed's 2013 routine, Jenee threw 2 perfectly executed doubles. Now at CEA she's throwing none because her ONLY double was taken out because it was under-rotated during semis. Skills are supposed to get better with time, not worse. So I'm gonna ask again...Has that tumbling coach been fired yet??
i feel like they have the same stuff every year so everytime i watch them i get bored. wcss has something new and entertaining every year so im pretty sure they killed them in routine creativity and tumbling.
mbhxoxo Exactly! The only talents they want to show is how good they're in tic-tocs. Don't get me wrong, i know they're very hard but seriously, show something creative apart from multiple tic tocs
+Yasmine Scholte You can't claim stunts😂😂. Wildcats started the Kick full kick full but remember something's always been done long ago before we see it resurrected. Just how TGLC did the back bend stunts in 2015 and Coed Elite did it but added their own little thing
once again i’m not suprised. this is always what senior elite does. they have to take out their difficulty, water down the stunts and routine and change the choreography completely because they can jus never hit it. and wonder when they’re up again panthers, wcss, f5 and orange they lose because they aren’t maxing out on points and hitting with the execution and technique they need. just because you have good music and performance doesn’t mean anything. you need technical precision, difficult skill and amazing execution.
3verdeen right? she has bobbled literally 98% of the times they've competed omg, Idgi. I thought the most stable stunt was supposed to be in center not the least?
I dont think you understand but point flyers are supposed to stay in the air stably no matter how freaked out the team is. Yup, shes flexible but she always struggles in the air. Point flyers should be stable and tight in the air so when theres a bobble or a fall, it isnt that bad since the centre stunt is still in the air and executing everything. Im not hating, I'm just expressing my confusion on how the girl became/remained point flyer when clearly her stunt group wasn't the stablest
***** she fell/bobbled 98% of the time and a lot of the times she was the only one. She's not even the most flexible... And being center flyer isn't just about flexibility.
cheerandacro changing things never works? They took stuff out of their running tumbling and still won in 2012. Changed their entire opening standing tumbing, Baskets, 2nd stunt sequence, pyramid music and added flips in their pyramids at worlds 2013 and yet they still won. ( amber pickens said they changed 3/4 of their routine in 2013 and they still won)
Michael Toll Tuber Well, clearly this trick has gotten old by now, seeing that the last 2 years everytime they've made frantic changes the night before day 2 in major comps, they ended up losing anyway. I just don't get why they feel the need to change so much of a routine they've been working for for months the day before big competitions. Yes, it's a good thing to take out stuff that have a big risk of not hitting, but changing elite stunts, baskets, counts, and in this case perfectly executed tumbling from day 1 to day 2 is just plain silly. Work on a routine you put the very best you can do in, feel 100% confident about it the whole season and come compete with it at worlds with it. Simple.
They did so good 😭😭 however the reason why they lost is because of tumbling. So many girls like Jenee, Shayla, Harlie who threw doubles on day 1 threw fulls on day 2.. Otherwise I dont know why they lost... They were cleaner than Stars
Stars pyramid was fast, and hit all parts of the scoresheet! If you see SE pyramid it's really slow and tumbling didn't have a lot doubles. And World Cup was far better technique wise and difficulty in the whole routine.
Jairo Guzman Please don't even try comparing wcss pyramid to senior elite's lmao. Senior elite has a minimum of 5 girls in the air at all times (usually with 2 loading in) and they hit 5 structures... There are times when wc has 0 girls in the air, and they only hold 2 structures, not to mention the girl bobbled on one of them. I also fail to see WC's execution over senior elites, there were like 3 stunt execution errors and only 1 in senior elite's
One of the biggest CEA fans in the world.. Trust me. But like I "tweeted" day 1 at worlds as i sat in the second row.. Maybe if more people actually cheered, screamed, and clapped during the actual routine rather than singing the music like a little "fan girl" it would have made more of an impression. Its an incredible, fast paced, difficult routine.. Couldn't actually "feel the energy" cause I was too distracted by the 10000000+ fan girls singing the routine while the best pyramid in the WORLD was hitting and no one was cheering.. They were too busy singing fight song. To any returning SE members, as a huge HUGE HUGE MAJOR fan.. Stop telling your fans to sing with you.. Have them scream their lungs out when you hit, rather then working on "hitting" the high note.. See what I did there :) GL
I get serious chills when the crowd is singing along to their pyramid.
l0ol0ool same here!!! ^^
lets just appreciate that their pyramid got a 9.9/10
ollie ellis They deserved a ten .3.

Dear guy that stands up, you ruined the dance.
Up until this I get teary eyed whenever I watch this

So proud of them and always love the reaction they bring out!
God bless you and all of your videos

I either wanted WCSS or SE to take home the gold and I'm so happy for WCSS, it was there year but I'm still bummed.
I never get chills but during that pyramid. chills

Richmond Caguioa
what does that have to do with anything?
I don't even know what she's trying to do, but I love the center flyer's hand motions at 0:31 idk why it's so satisfying and seems like it goes with the music
They definitely needed more doubles because they looked great otherwise.
What happened to the 720 :'(
+Madison Jenkins the judges said the its was illegal :(
Who is the tumbling coach for this team? More importantly, have they been fired yet?
Have you ever seen junior coed crush or youth Elite or coed elite because they all have the same tumbling coach so ...

her tumbles where never great in the first place😂 shes a better flyer now anyway
Ben Pope Lmaoo ironically enough he's Courtney Smith Popes husband that would have been hella awkward..
zeelelynn Well sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do...
Still wondering how this didn't win. What the actual fuck
So Much love in one video😍😍😍
they so deserved to win!!!

exactly! and they need to stop doing the ball up 360s bc its old they do them every year like do something different 😂
world cups music made me want to scratch off my ears there routine was amazing but they need to fix the music 😷
and they didnt do a 360 ball up it was just a ball up also remember maddie gardner was the first to ever do it so its like senior elites thing
+Yasmine Scholte You can't claim stunts😂😂. Wildcats started the Kick full kick full but remember something's always been done long ago before we see it resurrected. Just how TGLC did the back bend stunts in 2015 and Coed Elite did it but added their own little thing

still in denial
How did that girl become point flyer?

what a nice dance hahaha
Wow! They´re good!!
Omg!!! The whip at 1:13. Lol
Chills
They deserved rings.
No
no
Yes
Yesss
They didn't though, they do the same stunts every year and their tumbling lacks.
why the 720 up not doing on final?
I believe the judges said it was illegal so they took it out
the song is called as the final pyramid ?
I know im super late but its Fight Song by Rachel Platten
Por cierto fue chevere
What is the name of the song during pyramid
izabella morejon It is called Fight song by Rachel Platton
Totally think they should have won, but still happy for WCSS.

Jairo Guzman whatever, it was bullshit
That's not the reason they lost .
I love how they thought they were gonna win but didn't.😂
but have you won worlds?m
i love how you havent won worlds and they have hahahahaha
+Olivia Reymond one day the will dont worry
California_Allstars Lover They Place 4th Again 😢😢
I think they would have won if they did the 720 and I know this is late lol
Cristian Perez One of the parents of another team questioned its legality, so they took it out. Such a shame:(
I don't think one little stunt would have done anything for them since the whole team wasn't doing it.... but I'm not sure
Cristian Perez It wouldn't amount to much, and they wouldn't have won anyway because too many fulls and too little doubles
+Evie MacCormick it wasnt illegal, it just didnt do nothing to the score .
they definitely lost because of that whip after tumbling
El señor no dejaba ver tapaba la cámara y las (o) no dejaban de gritar

True
everyone saying they didn't deserve rings are world cup stans, annoying af
That center flyer is big as hell...... them girls were struggling to keep her big ass up there WTF??? Maybe this is why Senior Elite can never win....
