In this video, I have explained that on June 3, 2024, Marc Miller, Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship, announced a new immigration scheme for Caregivers from Abroad.
Caregivers from abroad have been the backbone of many Canadian families, providing essential care for children, seniors, and persons with disabilities. As the Home Child Care Provider Pilot and the Home Support Worker Pilot come to an end this month, we're thrilled to announce a new chapter for caregivers in Canada!
The Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship, has unveiled new, enhanced caregiver pilot programs set to replace the current ones. These new programs promise significant improvements and a pathway to permanent residency (PR) upon arrival in Canada. 🎉
Key Highlights:
Permanent Residency on Arrival: Caregivers will receive PR status as soon as they land in Canada.
Expanded Work Opportunities: The new pilots will allow caregivers to work for organizations offering temporary or part-time care, aiding semi-independent individuals or those recovering from injuries or illnesses.
Straightforward Eligibility Criteria:
Minimum level 4 on the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB).
Equivalent of a Canadian high school diploma.
Recent and relevant work experience.
A full-time home care job offer.
These enhanced programs are a major step forward in recognizing and supporting the vital role caregivers play in our society. More detailed information, including full eligibility criteria and application processes, will be available soon.

You have not informed in video about age criteria for Care giver work, what is the minimum and maximum age limit for this programme. Tell me to everybody
There is no age restriction
aslam o alikum when this program they will open and what will b the last date to apply and what documents needs so we will prepare as soon as possible.
As I said, this will open in Sep/Oct this year

Walekum Aslam this opportunity is 1000 times better than U.K. carer program. Saying that because I have lived in both of the countries. You will get permanent residence right away and whereas in the uk you would have to live for 5 years to get residency rights
