What makes Kuuga stands above other riders for me is that how his forms actually have purpose for each enemies while other riders just change forms for whatever and only switch to stronger forms just cause it didn't work. Also Kuuga actually had to learn his rider kick while every other rider somehow know how to do special moves right away for no reason.
This. I couldnt agree more. The only rider who evolves through actual hard work rather than using gimmicky gadgets. Best series yet where us, the audience can also evolve alongside the hero's evolution. Current rider series sometimes feel stale for me.

Instantly know how to do finisher in that form while Kuuga just happen to stumble upon his new form and know nothing about it!!! If it not for Sakurako, Kuuga wouldn't know that Dragon from use Rod to defeat enemies, while Pegasus using Bow(in this case...Gun) and Titan using Sword..every episode is Kuuga dedicated to learning using his power step by step..until he reach his Ultimate form which is so dangerous that could potentially destroy everything and he can controled it because of his training as Kuuga..also i like the raw fight scene in Kamen Rider Kuuga( i can never forget that one Grongi that get beaten by Kuuga brutally by punching his face till blood splattered on floor and then Kuuga proceed by ramming his bike and finish him with Rising Titan form...so brutal and so scary as Kamen rider supposed to be ally of justice but im genuinely scared of him that time as a kid)
Ive watched Kuuga a dozen times now and the episodes that always stick in my mind the most are the ones featuring Godai's old teacher. Something profound in those episodes, especially nowadays.

I just started watching Kuuga as my sixth KR show. It's so awesome! The soundtrack is great, and while the CG effects are dated, I really like Ichijo and Godai so far and Kuuga's design is so cool! Also, the cypher language of the villains is a neat touch
plot, storyline ,backsound,action,Motorcycle fighting, the police work very well in this series, getting power is not easy, you have to be really wise in using it, Each form has its advantages and disadvantages

Kuuga is not underrated. It just an old show now that all. I remember watching this back in 2000, it was so hype at that time. It was Kuuga's popularity and success that revive the entire Kamen Rider franchise back. Plus the very reason Agito, look so similar to Kuuga is because Kuuga was too popular at that time so they felt they need to do a continuation that has the "Kuuga vibe".
Ex-aid and Build may have better storytelling and are also great, but Kuuga has more epic battles and monsters that posed a threat, + more remarkable fight backgrounds (there is a fight ON A HELICOPTER).

Ex-aid and Build may have better storytelling and are also great, but Kuuga has more epic battles and monsters that posed a threat, + more remarkable fight backgrounds (there is a fight ON A HELICOPTER).
Well you gotta agree that the fight scenes that include him on a bike kind of sucks/a turn off. Overall though , the show is pretty epic!

But I like how he uses his bike in a fight, especially in episode 4. That was one of the scenes modern KR shows can't seem to emulate.
