Agreed! I have a new pattern and fabric at home this weekend to get cracking on, exciting stuff! Yes I really must get around to the blazer, I bought a couple this year and have worn them loads, but they are day wear and I would love to make my own fancy evening wear jacket.
@ We just need the sewing fairy’s to show up overnight and cut out and interface everything that’s always time consuming! I look forward to seeing what you make for the party season xx
My daughter asked for a 90’s blazer so went hunting and found McCalls 8433 The fabric she had chosen was an apricot cotton the weight of a drill but not a drill It wasn’t until I got the pattern home I realised there’s an apricot blazer on the cover! Anyway, she wanted it with the shoulder pads and shell button She has lived in that jacket the last six months or so. She wears it with everything dresses it up and dresses it down? It’s been a great make for her and I would recommend the pattern. It’s a good pattern to use.
Looks like 2025 should have more glamour. It's the party season and there is nothing this year that really stops shows. Understated is a little bit sad this year I can imagine the male friends and partners wearing their jeans and not trying. Birdy
