I use the blank intro page at the beginning of the month as an index for the daily pages for that month. I use the dailies for a mix of detailed daily schedules (on really busy/complex days) and project notes, brainstorming, etc. so it's helpful to have an index so I can more easily find pages I need to reference later as the year goes on. I know a lot of people use the yearly spread at the beginning of the book for an index, but I use that for tracking work hours.
Great idea! I’ve seen people use the yearly spread as an index, which I also think is a great idea. Lots of options, which is always good 😊 Thanks so much.
The little metal thing in the box is for when you use a cartridge. You put the cartridge in the pen and then use that little cover to protect the cartridge from the mechanism when you push the nib out…it just kind of covers the cartridge.
Thank you SO much. I feel a bit silly not realising that. A friend just told me that the converter doesn’t hold as much ink as a cartridge, so if it empties quickly, I might have to move to a cartridge ❤️
@@desleyjaneplans I was going is to write the same thing….the metal cap is for the cartridge. I prefer filling cartridges on the VP…it holds so much more than the converter. So the cap is VERY important otherwise it can be punctured by the mechanism.
So so excited for you with your new pen. I absolutely love mine, bought it as a birthday gift for myself last year - because I’m soo worth-it 🤣 and I love it. If I want to make a word stand-out in a paragraph, I either press a little harder for bolder text or I write upside-down for a finer line. It’s like 3 pens in 1!! The metal cap with your Pilot pen is only for use when you use a plastic ink cartridge (which, if you are only going to use black ink in your Cousin, is worth doing as the converter runs-out of ink quickly). If you use a converter you don’t need to use the metal cap. The ball bearings are a genius idea to mix up the ink in the converter, as you write, if you use special property inks with shading or shimmer the ball bearings stop the shimmer from settling in one place, so you get a better experience with special inks. I do find this converter harder to fill with a syringe - I think I have a ball stuck in the mouth of my converter. I have since bought a few more Pilot capless pens but this is still my favourite of all to write with, so buttery 🤤 and it looks perfect with your Spy Family Hon. 😍 I divide the blank monthly page in my Cousin to write upcoming goals & aspirations for the month, and to then reflect at the end of the month on what went well and what I want to do differently in future/next month. Enjoy your new pen, and congrats on being so awesome and getting the perfect pen gift from work 🎉 Varsha, London.
Hi Varsha - thank you SO much for your message. I’m so happy to hear that you love the Capless so much that you’ve bought more than one! So far I love mine too! And thank you for the information about that metal cap, I really was confused for a bit! I had a feeling that was what the ball bearings were for. It makes sense and is a great idea. Hehe thanks again, I really appreciate your message. Best wishes!
I have the same pen. It was my first gold nib pen and i have never been able to get my money’s worth because the clip doesn’t work well with my grip 😭. So sad because i wanted that sexy black matte so bad. I use it but barely ever. Every time i use it to fill out a Cousin page my hand hurts after. Might gift it to my husband. He loves it. So sad because the nib is lovely.
I have no income or id buy. Beleive me. I wanted a hon to help keep track of my doctors appts. Im also a huge sxf fsn. If youre curious about anything, show or manga. I can answer

I think i need to try out the spy family show soon. You've kinda convinced me.
Hehehe. I hope you enjoy it!!
The black pen does go really well with the Spy Family cover!
Thank you! I thought it might, I love it. 🥰
😊🤩🤩 That pen is a perfect match for that Spy Family HON - love it! I admit I'd probably be a bit frightened to have a fountain pen near my hobo.
Hehe I know what you mean! But I’ll be careful ☺️ Thanks so much!

Oh no!!! That’s not good. I’m so sorry about that. I’m sure your husband will appreciate it. I hope you can find a new favourite ❤️
When you ordered your planner from Minamaru, did it come with a complimentary pen like it does when you order directly from Hobonichi?
Hi. No it didn’t. No blind bag and no pen 😕
Monthly pages I leave for monthly goals, finances and meeting check off so I know I’m meeting with everyone
Thank you, that’s a great idea.
Shocker. I have the same pen. Lol
Hahaha always twinning 💕
