This is not going to stop. Simmons has failed by every metric to create any improvement and now we are going back to the dark days of players not wanting to play for West Indies because.of the Board and staff. This is unacceptable.
It is clear Narine wants to play for West Indies as do these other top players. They just don't want to play for Simmons because he is useless.
Its high time for this politics power grab over West Indies cricket to not be the be all and end all.
This is about West Indies Cricket and who is best for the job.
That person is not Simmons.
We have probably the best T20 players.in the world, maybe with India.
Yet we are ranked 8th.
We are similarly ranked in ODI also.
In tests we beat a substrength transitional England barely at home without their two best bowlers playing a dire brand of regressive cricket that will not progress West Indies up the rankings.
There has been no attempt to play our best players in Test cricket in years. No Pooran, no Hetymer, no Lewis even, no Narine. It's simply shocking the way we play.
There is no tactical variation to the batting. It's simply bat time every time. That cannot be the way forward for a progressive.team.
Under Simmons the bar has been set so low.
The most glaring problem is the incoherent team selctions exacerbated under Roger Harper somewhat calmed with Sarwan and is it seems back to what it was, the order players are played in. The teams being selected are not tie correct players, and then not even played in the right positions.
Also is Pooran really the right choice as Captain or should he be left to focus on his batting.
It's gone on long enough. It's time to go for Simmons.
Do the honourable thing and resign or sack him please CWI.
I thought Narine and Russel weren't playing games because of the money the leagues offered him.
Simmons is useless but the so called top players dont want to play not once a t20 league is playing the players dont care about west indies cricket they only talk about west indies when it suits them
