This same thing happened to me. I was sold raw hair as virgin brazilian hair. I bought that hair in March 2014 and now exactly 5 years later the hair is just as, if not even more beautiful!!! It has survived multiple installs over the years, from wigs to sew ins etc and now I just can't go back to virgin, now I can't even fathom hair only lasting for a year or less. I have not bought hair in 5 years!

Wow you gave me a whole new perspective of hair. I’m very passionate about hair and also a believer of Christ. I was trying to start a virgin hair company and I’m not really pleased with the samples I’ve tested so far and want to go even further and just start a raw hair company instead. I’ve been hesitant because of the whole sacrifice process because I don’t need any more spiritual problems 🙏🏾😫 and I also want my business to still reflect Christ. Any advice on what to ask vendors? I’m going to binge worth your videos to get more info.
Hi Miss Valarie! I definitely hear you! There's no need to add any spiritual problems if you can avoid them. As far as vendor questions, I asked everything from where the hair is sourced from, how payment is accepted, how the wefts were constructed, processing time frames, how much volume they can handle (this is important as you grow), pictures, videos, etc. The most important thing is to test the hair. It took me a year to find a good vendor that I could trust. I also have back up vendor just in case something happens. I know this process can be the hardest part of getting started, which is why I now offer wholesale ... and dropship will be coming in a few weeks for those that can't afford bulk ordering with wholesale. Also as Christian I too thought how about the hair as a sacrifice to an idol as I am about to receive my 1st sample for my business. It is like do I buy less authentic hair or more quality hair? Does raw hair come stiff ? I got raw Indian hair and it’s really stiff and very dry ?? Does that means it’s real ?
It would be difficult to tell you if the hair you have is raw without actually seeing it. Raw hair can be dry if you are not adding moisture back into. It is common to receive hair from India very frizzy and dry, but after adding moisture back into it that same hair many would turn up their noses to is very beautiful.

Hi Esther. While the majority of hair in India is sourced from the temples, there is hair that is collected from donors directly. So, yes it is possible, but more challenging to source.

Some people don't no that acid is put in the hair! And yes, it is very unhealthy (acid)I put anointing oil on my and pray over it. Does it suppose to smell? The hair doesn't smell bad ,its smells like they washed with their shampoo.
It should smell like normal hair (think about your own natural hair). It is normal to smell the shampoo and conditioner used. You should not be smelling any foul smells like corn chips, feet, or chemicals.

Most hair from India is sacrificed at the temples; which is why we pray over, anoint, and bless the hair.
