As an Ole Miss Fan watching this 13 years later, I remember this game well was the lowest of the low for the program in a long time. I sure hope those days don’t come back anytime soon.
Crazy to think that LSU was one game away from having 2 undefeated teams in the 2010's. Really a shame for college football in general, just shows that sometimes the better team doesn't win it all.
1:15:00 the entire backfield of RBs are in the NFL, the WRs (Ruben R., Russ Shep, OdelBJr, J Landry) are in the NFL, the TE was briefly in the NFL, 4 of the OLmen are in the NFL. The 1st and 2nd QB didn't make it. The 3rd QB just got released this offseason NFL. Sounds like Les had the wrong QBs playing. All 11 starters on D made the NFL. The punter and kicker are in the NFL.
okrajoe As a LSU fan I find it disrespectful. There basically telling them you know what we're tired of scoring we want to leave ASAP so we're just just going to take knees
The actual truth was the fact that Les Miles didn’t know any better than not to do something like that. We all know that Les Miles wasn’t meaning any disrespect by doing that. The problem was the fact that he didn’t have enough common sense to realize what he was doing was more disrespectful towards Ole Miss than what it would’ve been had he just went on and scored again !!
@@bigbossman3987 Also, Miles should have been more respectful toward Lee. Lee took the QB position after Jefferson's mess, and Lee did very well throughout the next several games. For Miles to slight Lee like that was disgusting. Miles made a lot of enemies in the LSU fan base when he treated Lee badly. And part of the reason LSU lost to Bama in the championship game was that Miles did not keep close tabs re: Jefferson's outside activities, and as a consequence, Jefferson was obviously not ready for that game.
I was there as well. The Ole Miss fans weren’t booing. There were none left by then. The stadium was 75% cleared out in the third quarter, student section was 95% gone. It was beautiful.
I absolutely LOVE this taking a knee with 5 minutes to go. If LSU would have scored, they would have been blasted for running up the score. What were they supposed to do, hand the ball off and have the running back PRETEND to try to score but just fall down?
Best team ever that didn't win it all.
Because of Les miles dumb ass not changing the offense just wanting to run the ball and same play over and over.
Should still claim the title

Yea
Alabama was definitely the better team tho and they proved it by winning 21-0
9-6 though?@@Smokedbacon-ly4kk
They should not have had to play Bama twice
Hotty toddy we just got the snotty beat out of us!

Jeff Allen NFLSU
Idk if I'd want freshman Zach Mettenberger starting yet
I can't decide if this is respectful or disrespectful.

Watching on 11-19-19
I was at this game. This Ole Piss team was the worst football team I’ve ever seen in my life.
