    I reached Mumbai , Dombivali in 1994 (from a filthybrich natural and beautiful place called Palakkad , in kerala ) and started this journey, till date it's on I still don't take my car coz trains are still better. This is the life but still there is beauty in it. Any lazy , rich , and Village lazy people who don't adjust for anything must come here and Learn how people adjust here. Endless sincere thanks to Local Maharashtrians who accepted everyone. There is a life here which is incomparable with any part of the world. I have traveled domestic and international, but Dombivali ... I love you !

      Rajagopalan Moolayil Palakkad due to people like u our mumbai is cramped, locals are disturbed and general marathi public is fucked.. Well there r not much Kerala people in mumbai at least compared to north indians, but Kerala is already much developed so it would be good if everyone at least tries to stay in their state unless it's compulsory to come here..

    I'm from Shillong, I love Mumbai but I'm glad I'm back home now. No need to travel 2-3 hours daily in packed crowded trains and paying hefty insane amount of rent with no peace of mind.

    Why people live this kinda life? Move out of Mumbai. Go Nashik, go Pune, go Nagpur, go where you don't have to muscle your way into local trains. You probably will earn less, but expenses will be less and loads of peace of mind.

    Railways can modify the coaches to suit only for Mumbai Suburban trains. simply remove all seats and allow only standing passengers. in this way the coach can carry more passengers. if required only longitudinal seating of 30cm may be provided.

    I love fast local train . coz im from ambarnath. its just 20 minutes from dombivali. yet we get to seat in fast train

    Living in a Mumbai is mirage. People outside Mumbai think it's heaven. Only people from Mumbai knows real truth(But they will never say that). Even ants must be living better life.
    Travelling by local train is none less than fighting on border. No guarantee that person will return home in a single piece. A small mistake can cost life. Now imagine you have to be 100% perfect, 365 days a year.
    Wonder how come people can tolerate farts, bad breaths, sweat smell & other filthy smells once they get on board at the same time brushing their skin against others(who may be bearing some kind of skin disease either? :)

      Parag Mahajan there is nothing like that. U got to learn something from mumbaikars. Even in such heavy crowd there is love and care about others. People are very helpful even in crowd. If u r carrying heavy luggage, they will help u to move it inside , even when there r fights for getting inside and outside of coach no one will use dirty words instead always use words like bro (bhai they call it) they will help u about on which platform to go which train to take if u r looking confused even before asking them. I have started travelling by these trains from 1 year during peak hours and my experience is very good . U eventually learn by seeing how they adjust themselves .. just ur view of looking and tackling with situation is pathetic and hence people like u will never survive in this city. And now about "mumbaikars will never tell they live like ants" fuck yeah? No one here thinks that they r living like ants just because our trains are crowded. There's actually no point to think so. Life here is quite fun and there r all facilities available at doorstep. So however crowded trains would be, normal mumbaikar who has been living here from birth or from very long time will always say that they love mumbai and always refuse to leave this city. That's reason why it's very much populated ! City of dreams ;) . Love my mumbai

      The place shown in the video is not located in mumbai, it's 50kms away from mumbai. It's a small town

    i am from ambarnath and currently its best place to live. since its only 20 minutes from dombivli but fast trains start frim here you get seat in fast trains for just half hour more than dombivli. also home near station is affordable in ambarnath by selling house in domvili. frequency is also much good comapred to poeple. titwala has less people but less trains . badlapur has more people still less trains . ambarnath has decent people to trains ratio. if you get to sit in fast train . what else you want then

    Superdense crush loads on the train as it arrives, yet people fight aggressively just to further fill the train. Do they not care if if others are disembarking? Train can't even close it's doors.
    They should hire Subway Stuffers for the Superdense crush loads. Abd prevent trainsfrom from crowding so where the doors can't close.

    s the train itself are comming fully loaded, i amf from mumbai but since last twenty years i am out of country, and in the mid ninetys trains were not that much crowded i mean moringinr rush hour was there, but now when i look at it, it looks like it would be impossible for me to travel, hardly any room left

      Anandita guess i thought the 4,5,6 Were The Most Crowded, where do you board the S train at, you board it in Manhattan? Because City Bound trains do get crowded any hour of the day

    We need to de congest mumbai by moving some work place out of mumbai. Once the work places are shifted to another city, normality will be restored

    The problem can easily be solved if the government tells companies that 1 quarter of employees arrive at work at 8:00 am, 2nd quarter of employees at 8:30, 3rd quarter at 9:00 am, and the 4th quarter of employees at 9:30 am.

      Yes we know, Thane being a Transfer station has seen a explosion in the crowding situation, where it is hellish to board any train in the evening rush hour and stampede like conditions are created , morning rush hour. We would like that more concerned citizens take part in a online campaign that we have started with some social groups in Thane to reduce overcrowding in Thane Station, we have seen a tremendous response by reaching the CMO taking action and would like to keep building the pressure on the authorities:

    If ministers, politicians grab soo much of corrupt money they should atleast do some work too..
    I don't understand where all the hard earned money goes in India ?
    Even after paying taxes I'm not getting the facility I should then what is the use of paying it ?
    India needs to change and even the world has to.. otherwise the end impact will be intolerable.

      PLATFORM 5 (Towards City Fast Trains Only)
      7:25(Badlapur-CST), 7:28 ( Kasara-CST), 7:31 (Karjat-CST), 7:36 ( Ambernath-CST), The Trains were backed up behind the Duronto Express Seen first in the video as the 2 expresses came late, usually the 7:21 (Kalyan-CST) 15 car goes after 2 Expresses, But As the expresses were late, the Train Left Early
      PLATFORM 4 ( Towards Suburbs Fast Trains Only)
      7:43 (CST-Karjat), 7:47(CST-Kasara)
      PLATFORM 3 (Towards City Slow Trains)
      7:44 ( Kalyan-CST), 7:52( Asangaon-CST)
      PLATFORM 2 (Towards City Slow Trains Departing Only From Dombivli Station)
      7:47( Dombivli-CST)

    win 2019 election, must solve this morning rush hour

      Sadly the rush isnt going to ease unless the Thane-Diva 5&6 lines are opened which are expected to be done not earlier than 2019 end. Already this project has seen over a decade of Delays.

      +Abhayr The Whole Process should start from the roots, there is no waste segregation done by citizens done even after municipal authorities asking for it, also Municipality has not provided dustbins for litter atleast at the station and market area, Also a majority of infrastructure projects by kdmc are taking place at Kalyan leaving aside Dombivli. Even Educated people don't have a sense of belonging, Migrants should not be a problem as it's shown in Navi Mumbai Which ranked 8th In the Swachh survekshan where 95% of the people are migrants from all over India, its the lake of basic civic sense, Political will, and The Procrastinating attitude

      +Prem Bora Probably Not, Railway data shows that Dombivli Is The station with 2.46 lakh passengers, where as Ghatkopar And Kurla are 3rd and 4th Respectively with 1.85lk & 1.58 lk
      Second is Thane with 2.43lk passengers,

      Dombivli Central Dombivali is different city and Kurla and Ghatkopar are just two areas situated in Mumbai.
      Just Imagine what if Mumbai city(Colaba-Mulund/Dahisar Area) has only one railway station.
      Mumbai is huge city that's why it has so many railway stations area wise.
      So Maximum People who commute from Local are from Mumbai City.
      Compare one on one. Mumbai vs Thane or Mumbai Vs dombivali

      Yes, I do agree, this kind of journey nobody likes.
      But at least people on their own get out and get in,
      where as in Japan, there are persons appointed to
      push people inside the carriage. Horrible sight,
      are commuters something like luggage or sack
      to push inside? In fact in India, commuters are
      not pushed inside.

      Shubhh hoggle there's nothing like u r forced to travel by these trains. What do you mean by people have no value in india. Go ask ticket fares of Japanese train and compare it with mumbai local . In local train u can travel whole city as well as outside towns like khopoli virar dahanu for 36 cents (0.36 US dollars or 25 rupees). O bet u won't get that much cheap service in world. Yet trains are very fast on time and frequency is excellent ... There is train on each platform after 3-4 mins what more do u expect at this price . Railway is in loss of crores and yet when government tried to increase fares by 3 rs all people started shouting like they r in disaster that railway had to keep age old prices . Such kind of democracy isn't in Japan . If u r not willing to pay for what service is already worth, u can't demand for more facilities. Hope u r getting it

      sujit salvi bhai but dombivli me 5 no platform is the last platform. I mean uske baju me joint platform nae hai...and in this 5 no platform ke baju me joint platform hai i.e 6 no platform...so i doubt ki ye dombivli station hai...

      Please check 0:05 Onwards , To the right hand side you can see People are leaning on the fence surrounding platform 6, Like you mentioned, There is no platform no 5 at Dombivli.
