Many years ago, before the pandemic, my oldest sister treated our mother and siblings to the “A Walk In Walt’s Footsteps” tour and it was the last time out mother ever went to Disneyland before her passing. It was perhaps one of THE best days ever spent there not only b/c I was with family, but the tour exceeded my expectations. It was with a small group of people, we went behind the scenes of certain attractions, they fed us a box lunch, and we got an exclusive pin that day. We still talk about how great a tour it was. They no longer offer this particular one, which is a shame. Thanks for posting this video. It brought back that special memory😊

Traver, at 20:18, when you said you weren't 100% positive where the tables and seats are located for the WofC dessert party, you were basically standing right in front of it. Over your left shoulder is a round lamp bulb, and that lamp was right behind our table when we went two weeks ago. Our seats were fantastic. Our plates of cakes and cheeses were pretty packed, they gave us to-go boxes, and they gave us two adult drinks per grown up. I know you and Amy don't drink, but we had wines and they were ok. The kids got glowing sipper cups. For us, the WofC was a wonderful experience, and worth it to have a seat and a server at the end of a long park day.

@@FletchyMcFletch It’s great they gave you to-go containers. The one we did in Florida, since it was a buffet, just ended when they shut down the line. No more food.
They did give us a $20-$30 bag of Ghirardelli chocolate though. But I think it was one per family as opposed to one per ticket.

I think it really depends on your family’s preferences. For my family of 4, lightening lane (single/multi) is 100% worth it, and we balance the extra cost eating mostly at quick service. Hey I've got a possible video idea! Since the new DAS system has changed, lots of Disney guests are told to use wheelchairs. It would be amazing if there was a video that could help ambulatory and regular wheelchair users know what to expect! The video could include info on great activities in Disney that are wheelchair friendly, the process on different rides on wether a wheelchair user needs to transfer out of the chairs or if they need to enter certain rides through the exit. There is probably a good amount of info online that would help so much with a video like this. This could be so amazing for the disabled community. There really isn't very many videos out there that can help the community know what to expect. And I find that a lot of us disabled people find it really hard to get out there and have a smooth enjoyable stress free vacation without knowing what to expect. :) anyways I love your videos!

@@meaharchuleta3893 Doing something like this is a very highly requested topic.
But the request is usually for me to show how DAS works, which I can’t qualify for obviously.
But I probably absolutely could talk about wheelchair parking, what rides are wheelchair compatible, where wheelchairs go to enter a ride, etc.
Just do a loop around the park showing the different rides and talking about the process.

We had the River Belle Terrace dining package for Fantasmic. Food was appalling but seats were good . The view was marred however by cast members constantly waving light wands in front of us to direct people on so that they were not stopping and blocking the walkway. Would not do this again.
LOVED OOGIE BOOGIE BASH so worth it. Took 5 kilograms of candy home to Australia. Did WOC dessert package and was the best view, unhindered with a seat and fabulous view - no one blocked our view, cast members were attentive and desserts were nice. Filmed the show without anyone blocking my view. As I am only 5’2” tall, this was the first time I have been able to see the show without someone blocking my view- Recommend for the view alone!

Just a note on the light-sabre and droid building. We live in Australia and Disneyland were not able to have them shipped home for us. Bear this in mind that you may have to count them as extra carry on baggage on the flight depending on with whom you are flying and where you are going internationally. We paid a ridiculous amount for extra baggage to get them home.

    • @SoCalDisneyDad

    • @donnamortensen959
      @donnamortensen959 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@SoCalDisneyDad I think the expense is more the postage - customs is never usually a problem when we order from the USA. The postal charges in the US are very high. We shipped a small carton of souvenirs from LA the last time we were there and it cost $150USD. And Disney charge those type of postage rates when we look at buying from the Disney Store from here. Even though we wear that cost, whenever I have enquired, cast members say they don’t ship purchases overseas .

I was 2 yo and went to Disneyland back in 1955, my only memories are in family photos. I bought Annual passes 1989 to 2002.
Disneyland is so expensive now, my advice is eat a solid breakfast, to get there early, bring in sandwitches for a lunch, drinks, and snacks. Dinner you can eat in the park or eat after you leave. If you plan to leave after the fireworks watch near the flag pole at Main Street as you are near the exit. I have many other hints, too many to list here.

The Character breakfasts are worth it, especially if you have younger kids. I've taken my granddaughter to 3 of them. She loves it! We did Storytellers Cafe twice and just recently Goofy's Kitchen for the 1st time.
My daughter & I recommend Goofy's Kitchen. More food choices.
One downside to Goofy's Kitchen. Excellent Air Conditioning, so your food gets cold quick.
I advise small plates and go back several times.
    We prefer having the breakfasts.
We haven't done the Plaza yet. We'll try it next year.

It was soo cool to get inside tips, go behind the scenes, and get special access to some of the rides! We got a cute little "golden key" pin to remember it! Would love to do the Walt tour to see his apt one day at DL!
Def think LL is worth it if you dont come often and stuff. My kids are too small to really take advantage of it so we usually skip it unless we go with a big group.
Kind of surprised you said to park hop if youre going 3 days or more cuz I figure you have more time to dedicate to each park and you save some money. With littles we usually do 1 PPD cuz hopping is tiring but our upcoming trip we will be park hopping. Also, the 3 days also is so odd bcuz I want to dedicate 1 park for 2 days and hop the last 3rd day, wish it was an option for a bulk ticket!
I've stayed at all the DL Resorts but haven't specifically requested a firework view.. mostly bcuz just staying there in a standard rm is expensive enough! But it would be nice one day! I didnt know they had the music for it on their tv so that's really good to know & keep in mind for the future! Thanks for the tip!
