    The Pushback is real. Haters will hate until it's too late.. when a new discipline pushes through the status quo, headwinds will always be there. Its great to see true Mavericks setting the standard for one of the most gangsta forms of kitesurfing. Keep it coming boys the future is based on performance and the foil will take us to the next level with you and CB blazing the way.

    I am also a BA foil kiter and riding a fone escape, although on 530/95, but I hope to see you live in Abu Dhabi for the GKA and finally discover the magic of your heliloops :)) amazing job buddy! Danku wel

      Thanks bro, keep pushing. Don't know about Abu Dhabi, I don't like super light winds in a competition

      I get your point but it would take too much of the frame and I want to focus on the trick as much as possible 😉

    how does this work? do you initiate the air with a technique or do you randomly just get ripped up by wind?

    Introduction: I am hydrofoil big air rider. So I am with you man!
    Unfortunately this discipline is dying. Brands are not evolving in this area and big air riders are really few. I think I will join GKA in Oman, hope to don’t see you there competing in hydro 😂
    Your tricks I love most are those with foil kite floating and playing around ❤

    • @Jamie_Overbeek
      @Jamie_Overbeek  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have to agree, it has been underestimated for a long time and you are right about the lack of riders taken part in the discipline. I am planning to attend some hydrofoil competitions season 2025.
      I also like the air style part on the foilkite most of all😉

    It almost looks like you can do all the same tricks with the foil as with twin tip 😮 What are the biggest challenges at the moment?

    • @Jamie_Overbeek
      @Jamie_Overbeek  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks, there are no real challenges but there are limitations to what you can do with a foil board, no board spins or multiple board flips. Twintip will always stand out in technical moves.

    Thats some sick jumps, i would love to start doing big air on a foil, itbwould be good for everyday thats less than 25 knots. Sadly i heard that the dursbility of the foil equipment is not made for big air. I talked to some foil riders and they told me to expect buying new gear every year if i use it for jumping often😢

    • @Jamie_Overbeek
      @Jamie_Overbeek  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks, I think the industry will adapt and produce stronger equipment that can cope with the forces of big air hydrofoiling😉

      Thank you, it's a size 9

  • @Eggile

    I feel like the foil erases a lot of the elegance you're showing with a normal board.

    • @Jamie_Overbeek
      @Jamie_Overbeek  หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      I hear you, the tricks with a foil board will always be limited compared to the twintip and the balance of a foil board is not comparable by far and limits board off variations as well but it will beat any twintip in conditions beneath 30 knots in achieving height. That's where there are chances for entering a competition on foil. Also there is huge potential for high jumps hunting for records. Though it will never beat the technicality that can be achieved on twintip.

    • @Jamie_Overbeek
      @Jamie_Overbeek  หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      And don't worry, I got some cool elegant stuff on twintip lined up for at least two more edits from South Africa
