- Trainer Willie Mullins capped an incredible winning sequence over Easter with victory in the €500,000 feature at Fairyhouse. I Am Maximus made light of the testing conditions under Paul Townend, producing a power-packed finish to prevail at 8/1. Gevrey (28/1), Defi Bleu (28/1) and Dolcita (33/1) played their part in a pulsating race.

Paul was brilliant what a ride he gave him. There was a couple u thought would get it but Paul is riding out of his skin. Pleased for the horse and J.P.McManus and of course Willie

The bloke that retired and used to be stable jockey was a genius an absolute genius we will never see the likes of again. That was a beautiful ride by Paul but ruby was another level all together

I thought with the drop in class from Grade 1's to a handicap, he looked a good thing if he could stay on this ground. Brilliant from Willie to freshen him up so soon after Cheltenham.
Paul did well to stay on when he made a complete horlicks of the last on the first circuit. But once he got to the outside he picked them off one by one. Great ride

I got 14-1 in Australia. Hardly got a call in running but the Cheltenham form was the key. 120-1 with a round to go I would have liked a share of that.

Jonbon is up in trip,c,hiil goes Thursday, luccia Friday, nicholls sends some good uns, I do think an Irish horse wins national, longhouse poet is 13 lb better with noble yeats, delta work/ Galvin x country horses, Le milos is a stayer, Skelton that 4 mile Bangor race is good race and coral cup at Newbury.🐴😏

Mister coffey finished ahead of him at Cheltenham, bit of a stretch but I think you could fancy him at big price based on how well tenzing was running here

Townend gets so much criticism from those who know diddly squat. Willie wouldn't have him as stable jockey unless he was top class. A great ride.
Ditto with the criticism of Nico. Nicky wouldn't have him as number one if he wasn't one of the best. Willie must think the same as Nico rode for him recently.
Would rather trust Willie and Nicky, two of the greats of the game, rather than the muppets who come on these TH-cam videos.

@@Tyson19882 it aged the exact same i am maximus is a decent horse a handicap horse not a grade 1 world beater like the likes of stateman des champs.. if you didn't know i am maximus loses races he also does better in handicaps.. so what 1 horse is a good handicap horse compare him to arkle and he's a puppy of a horse. See arkle won everything including nationals gold cups everything i am maximus is a handicap horse grade 3 races.
Henderson couldn’t get this horse winning around Exeter.
Probably better to send your horse to someone who knows how to train.
