As someone who's lived in Paris for 2 years... Honestly it really depends where in Paris If you're in the Western/Center part, yeah I agree it's ridiculously expensive. But in the Northern/Eastern part, it's still expensive but already way more affordable. And if you don't mind living in a 30-minute radius from Paris, the prices are significantly lower :)

I'd say Tel Aviv is totally worth that cost Very nice people, great atmosphere, a lot of fun places to be in and generally an amazing view overall. The reason you see the sea there is because Tel Aviv is near the sea, but it's not even half of the fun there, believe me. I highly recommend going there if you're ever planning a trip to Israel, it's the experience of a lifetime.
