I had a 84 Scottsdale pickup I regret selling. I love this build. I may have to venture a future build like this . To win something this nice would be a humbling experience.

My daily is a 1983 Burb K20 with the Detroit 6.2. It’s a blast and I’m in the process of turbocharging it with the components from a 6.5. It’s not a monster, but it is mine! This build though is the dream for me. Looking forward to seeing it go to someone!… I wouldn’t mind taking it home either!

Anyone else jealous of the size of this guy's garage? Also, there is no chance I would take the cash if I win. I'd fly in and have an epic road trip home, probably stopping at every off-road opportunity I could find. My work would just have to wait.

My Uncle has a 1986 GMC Sierra classic suburban with a Cummins swap and he's been driving that thing all around America for trips, it's his pride and joy and it'd be nice if I had one to drive with him.
I have a 1976 chevy suburban K20 with a dana 44 front and the big freefloat 14 bolt in the back. It's a California truck that had a couple small rust throughs but the rest is solid with some patina. I live on my SSI so I can't afford to restore it completely like I would like but I do love driving it to my DR. appts.I get a lot of thumbs up and nice truck comments. I sure wouldn't mind winning your's and selling this one.
First video I'm watching from your channel, I have to say that Suburban is a work of art. Perfect Build- not obnoxious and still stands out.
These guys are inspiring me to get my shop put together. I've been so busy with work, and fixing up an old house....I really miss all the tinkering I used to do growing up.
Just closed my shop last year and miss it already.Sold the lifts & tools to get back into what I thought would be a financial opportunity bin commercial construction in AZ,well that went to sh*t.

Love the truck. Would like to see the walk around done outside, a little easier to see the lighting and scale of it, but still awesome video.

You guys do incredible work on these trucks. The Cummins diesel should be in all big US diesel pick-ups. Duramax is OK, but the Cummins is just better and easier to access for maintenance.
The C/K20 came with the 9.5 14 bolt in the rear in 1986.
That tire and wheel combo is fantastic

Wow i am from norway and live in norway and have a 1995 suburban i love this CAR . But the CAR you have build there is the ultimate dream CAR amazing.

Back in the 90's I worked with a heavy equipment mechanic who rebuilt a twin turbo'd 6-354 Perkins in his 1/2T 1975 chevy pickup. He could run 1/4 mile head to head with the boss running his blown 454 1957 chevy pickup...

I have 1999 GMC SUBURBAN “ SONY EDITION “ with 84k original miles I bought to restore it because it’s really different from all other suburbans but then I became broke “ any buyers “ ? California Orange County. Run and drive amazing.

I definitely don't have more pedal travel with hydroboost.
If you have more pedal travel with hydroboost it is the sizing of your brake master cylinder to wheel cylinders or it is how your power steering pump and hydroboost are setup.

very nice! I wonder if it would pass emissions though, a lot of people live in places that require emissions testing
I'm a certified inspector and we have emissions testing here in central Texas, but emissions testing isn't done on vehicles older than 25 years anywhere in Texas, so I don't know for sure, but I assume most places with emissions testing have some exceptions for older vehicles.

They are crazy pricey! When I saw this truck had one, immediately I cut $3500 off the price of the truck for just that axle alone!

Isn't emission testing in California only for 98 and newer diesels?
As long as the truck was equipped as a 3/4 or 1 ton and/or came with a diesel engine from factory, swaps are legal as long as the engine is newer than the vehicle year it is going into. Since the 6.2 was a factory option, any 12v swap newer than the vehicle year would be legal. And no emissions testing is a huge bonus being pre-98👍
