Tess you are a wonderful mother. Tour son sounds so responsible. I have two boys who are very grown with families of their own. Those coasters are lovely as well as the brooch. It was interesting watching you pack all your parcels. May I say you have the most beautiful complexion and I love your wonderful curly hair. Such a pleasure getting to know your sweet family.....lucky you to have chickens. Please take care and stay safe. Sincerely, Debbie and Dexter-Dog my amazing Chihuahua companion living a quiet life in southern California, USA.🙏👍🌈🏄🏡🚴🎃💝😄
Hi Tess, my little cat had throat problems after an operation to be spayed. I had to syringe meat juices into her as she wouldn’t eat. The only one she wanted to be with was my old Jack Russell, who she absolutely adores. Sadly, I lost one of my chickens to egg peritonitis a week ago. The other two chickens don’t care but I miss her. Animals are family aren’t they.
My dad uses warm bacon grease, once a month. He said it clears out hair balls. He feeds with tuna fish, leftovers, rice, green beans. Tess, there is so much to do and so little time. I give myself slack, when I feel over whelmed. I multi task too much.
I just adore all your videos! You have such a calm and kind nature and I love seeing the day to day, the kittens, Pebbles and of course the chickens too! Hope Pebbles is 100% back to normal soon😻
Hi Tess, that did make me laugh about the washing up! Many many years ago when there was no room left on the kitchen worktops to put the washing up, we would put stuff on the ironing board that stayed up permanently in the kitchen. Times have changed thankfully and it is definitely a habit of the past.
I find with eating out less, that when I do, I enjoy it more. Have a nice visit with your son today! About washing dishes....I have also had a mental block about dishes and being an empty nest now, it has gotten worse. I'm glad I'm not alone lol!
Lovely Tess, you’re never boring. You are a joy to watch 🤗. Fish and Chips is yummy and so glad you enjoyed some time with your boy! Yes Claggy is an English word. I live down south and use it to describe the feeling when you have too much peanut butter in your mouth and well, it feels claggy 🤣. ❤️
I really enjoyed this video ! I love it when you open a window into your lives. We're all the same ..... Had to laugh when you mentioned letting the dish washing go for a few days, lol. I know I'VE been guilty of that ! By the way, I love those pots ❤
I love how you talk about your son. I have the same at the moment. Letting go and letting him make his own mistakes and be there when needed. I love your posts. It’s what I love doing. Unfortunately I married a man that thinks money grows on trees and it’s hard to combine. Have a lovely day 💕
You made me chuckle Tess ....I've been a reseller for 15 years now and yes the struggle is real here too. Trouble is the stuff we like is the stuff that sells. My reality and imaginary world are so far apart . I have a can't bear to part with drawer where things live until reality clicks in my brain.
Hi Tess, I am new to your channel and really enjoy and appreciate it. I usually skip adverts, but I do not in your videos. Occasionally I make a mistake and press skip before I remember, and I say' ooh sorry tess'🤣🤣🤣
So great to be able to spend time with your son, I have 1 son and he is with me most of the time. I am grateful to have him here for now. Thanks for sharing all your products you are selling, it gives all of us first chance to buy if we like😊😊👍👍💜💜
Hi Tess, I am so glad that Pebbles is doing better, is so worrying when they are sick. Our dog has diabetes and is blind, we are constantly worrying about him. It is so good to see you. Lots of love ⚘
Aww I’m so sorry Pebbles has been sick 😕 I really hope she fully recovers very soon ❤️ Maybe she would benefit from wet food with some sort of fish oil added. Our 17 year old cat crossed the rainbow bridge at the end of June. Our other 7 year old cat has been so confused and out of sorts 💔 I sell on Poshmark to supplement our income because I’m disabled. I love poly mailer bags too! You have excellent taste in vintage items Tess 😊 Sending you love & hugs from 🇺🇸
Love to hear Yorkshire twang. So miss it. I was brought up outside Hull and we always insisted it was East Yorksire and never Humberside. Had several great aunts and great uncles who were very broad Yorkshire and loved the words they came up with. Love to pick up the odd copy of The Dalesman mag to read about familiar places. Best wishes from Derbyshire.
Those place mats are adorable. As you said today we tend to have larger plates but they would be great for breakfast bowl time! (I can imagine them on a round cottage style table with lacey tablecloth 😊)
I've left tonight's pots for the morning. I often find that I'm better mentally for that job in the mornings. I'll set to and think about the jobs for the day as work on them. If I'm washing up I'd rather have a sink full. Thanks for sharing your day.🙂❤️
I love this video I love the day in life. I did the same thing today listing on eBay! I love your story about but not washing up brings back memories for us too. My husband and I are always good about washing up and keeping the sink empty for the next morning but we would let the dusting go until it was pretty thick and disgusting! When we couldn't stand it anymore then we would take everything off of every piece of furniture and dust really good. We don't let it go that far any longer but still not one of my favorite things to do! I don't stay up as late as I used to in my 20s and 30s now starting to really appreciate sleep going to bed early to try to get up early or to get more done!
Just catching up on your videos since I only recently discovered you. We have 2 cats. A white male and a tortoiseshell older female. Glad your kitty is better. Claggy must definitely be British. I haven't heard it in the USA.
Loves this video Tess . We are very alike in many ways mum to boys and cat mums . It’s so easy to get overwhelmed I’m been trying to list 10 items a day but so far not achieved that xx
I used to work in a charity shop and if my partner ever came in to meet me from work and brought the dog, she used to love sniffing around. She does this if I take her to our local RSPCA shop where dogs are welcome too. So many fascinating smells for them. ann leathley
Tess if I see a box in a charity shop I feel compelled to open it, you just never know what you'll find. I found some lovely miss tiggywinkle dishes and a Rupert the bear one. My Grandkids love them. Love your shirt it's so pretty.
I have 2 sons now in their 30s and I well remember the delicate balance of encouraging but trying not to impose how I would do things when they were teenagers! You also have to tread carefully when they get partners! I count myself blessed to still have a close, loving relationship with them. You are so sensible im sure you will achieve the same. Really admire your persistence with ebay - my patience wears out on there im afraid!
Really enjoyed hanging out with you today. What did I used to do when I was younger that I no longer do now hmmm go clubbing hahaha. So I would get excited about a 1950's perculator too .. I do miss my chickens its nice to see yours on the videos. So love all your videos Tess and check u tube daily to see if you have a new one out . Would love to get to meet you one day . May bump into you at a car boot sale , you never know
You are right Ochelle! I realised that after I'd edited the video. Just too late lol. It is a big brooch. Probably best to go on the lapel of a wool coat which would take the weight. X
@@Tess-FrugalLiving she wrote and painted flower books. She was an artist and art teacher died in 1920. I believe the table cloth is from the 70s. In the junk journal circle her books are in high demand
Is Pebbles your cat? Has she had an x-ray? I hope she pulls through 🙏🏻 Your tea cup is so cute! I love that kind of stuff, and in my country it is not common to see. Here we have coffee mugs that are common to put coffee, hot chocolate and tea in. You found some good resale items! I do not know how you can restrain yourself around bubble wrap. I can't be left unattended around that stuff...lol. Also, thank you for the kitty photos. I needed that for some cheer. It sounds like ebay forces you to pace your listings. I did not know that.
Hi Autumn, Yes, Pebbles has had a couple of x-rays and bloods etc. She is much better now, thank goodness. Haha...the temptations of bubble wrap lol. I hear you.
Tess, you are a lovely person and a really lovely, supportive parent. On another note, I am wondering if the car boot sales drop off in the winter weather and what do you do as an alternative if that is the case? Yes, when I was in my 20's, I was out late at clubs and concerts and the like - not anymore!!! I am an early to bed person these days - usually - though I sometimes stay up late watching TH-cam.
I always have a backlog of items waiting to be listed and purposefully stock up in the summer to see me through the winter. Having said that, I can shop on FB marketplace and in charity shops all year round. I'm never short of stock. 😁
I list 10 a day almost every day, it helps if you get into a pattern of listing. However, my sells have been down, I've started listing 20 a day 10 during daylight and 10 more at night. Ebay's server was down last night so, they are not helping. I did get a descent sale late last night and ebay wouldn't let me print the label, had to wait until this morning. Ebay buys my groceries so, when sells are down the budget is tighter. Hang in their, thanks for the video
Hi Tess, I found the manual for the clock radio on the internet. Sadly it wasn't a free download as I hoped but an ebay item for £5 with £2 p&p so I don't think that it will stack up, what as shame!
Yes! Claggy is just that. It's a great word isn't it? I also like Clarty which means pretty much the same think but more often in relation to the feeling of food in your mouth...peanut butter can be quite clarty if you have too much in your mouth at once. Not that I would ever do that 😉😉😉
Hi Tess - how and when do you work out postage costs for your reselling, please? Do you have a system/ scales etc? Thank you - very much enjoyed this vlog
Hi Anwen, I weigh my parcels and then check prices on the Royal Mail and Evri websites. To be honest though, after years of doing this, I have a good idea of postage costs and don't have to look things up often. It's very easy :-)
My mum is from Derbyshire, she says and we say claggy. It’s claggy here today and I’m stacking wood.
Hi Tess what a beautiful person you are caring for pebbles
Hi from New Zealand
The blue shoes & bag are gorgeous.
They sold very quickly despite the marks. They were a good make and that always helps.
This video was like having a good 'ol visit with a good friend! Thanks for taking us along with your day! You have some lovely things to sell!🤗🌹
Glad Peebles is doing better. Lol, I always get the tail in the face from the cat too. Take care and blessings to all ❤

The plane clock is fab! I do some reselling and would definitely recommend sending any shoes in a box so they don't get damaged and then returned. X

Yes! Sometimes I price things quite high for a while so that I can enjoy them for a bit longer than if they were more reasonably priced lol
I use the word claggy - usually for things like the feeling of peanut butter in my mouth 🤣
Yes! Claggy and Clarty = Mouthful of peanut butter 😂

I hate washing up too. I moved into a flat with a built in dishwasher so that has been a game changer. Now I just do the odd bits that won’t go in 😇
Great video Tess, it's lovely to see what a normal day looks like for you.

Gosh that skirt took me right back to the 1970s, sure I had something in similar fabric!

We have an old percolator that has outlasted a Dualit one. It’s still going strong!
In Australia we use claggy as well.
You might try an online search for a manual for the clock. There are a lot of manuals posted online for download. Really enjoy your channel. 😊
Love the coffee machine and areoplane clock , but you n keep the spider 🕷️ broach haha don't do spiders
Heehee :-)
I think the brooch is a beetle of some sort. Spiders have more legs. It was so Big! My lapels would sag.

Yes I understand how you want to keep some items. A question...how do you know what price you put on your listings?
I research them, but after doing this for years I have a good idea about most prices.
