Congrats on launch! Played roughly an hour of it this morning & enjoyed it so far. There’s A LOT to take in with this game. It can be overwhelming… not for the faint of heart. This is a real game with some depth. Looking forward to optimization fixes in the near future.

When the demo originally had abysmal performance, I was worried, but went with my gut and got it anyways. Today, I've been able to play quite a bit and really enjoy it. Five hours on the clock, looking forward to whatever is next.
I was looking forward to the full release as I was sure it would be more optimized, really sad to see its just as bad. I'm gonna wait to see if they optimize it, otherwise im getting it on a sale.
i dont know why but when i started the deluxe edition of the game it did run without any problems but then when i got to the garage it did start to stutter so much so that i could not continue playing 😟 but maybe it is because of my older pc specs im sure the game overtime will get small performance updates to make it run smoother 🙂
One of the best indie games I have ever played, truly. I love post apocaliptic vibes, but cruising into the EZ inside a 1947 Back to the F*ed Up Future car? Priceless.

Honestly if this game had full VR compatibility I would have bought it instantly....I'm not interested enough in a regular road sim for the moment. I'll be waiting for updates.

Hope ps5 gets a performance update. I played a couple hours late last night. The fps fluctuates. Sometimes it’s good, but most of the time it feels like 30 and when it dips below it’s disappointing. I wouldn’t bat an eye at a locked 30fps if this was 3rd person perspective but in 1st person it’s a different story.
Yeah the performance suffers on pc too, unless you have the absolute newest hardware. I'd hope the demo wasn't indicative of the full release performance but it seems like no optimization was done. Hopefully they do it in the future but I'm waiting for now.

You have made a very wonderful game, Pacific drive, but unfortunately I will not be able to play it, since it works very poorly on the steam deck, and other than that I have nothing to play this game. Can I ask you to optimize (or update) this game so that it will be possible to play on this wonderful platform as steam deck?
The game is fantastic, so atmospheric. Sometimes it's relaxing, most of the time really stressful, always beautiful and really fun to play. The way all the anomalies and conditions mix together is truly great. Really unique and for sure GOTY material ❤ ( also I really hope there's gonna be an expansion someday)
Would the studio consider making this game multiplayer? I think it'd be fun to join my friends and drive around in our own cars and play. Somewhat how Dying Light did so you could progress your own game (or at least your own vehicle) while playing with others. Maybe you'd be able to take some materials and stuff to your own base once your session is over as long as it's in your car or something?
Love this game, I’ve got about 30 hours in the game and am just about to finish it, and I can’t wait to start a new game and do it all over again. I’ve even got my brother, and several friends to get the game as well, we’re all having a blast comparing strategies and helping eachother figure out solutions to various problems we’re having. Honestly, I couldn’t recommend this game enough!
I've been playing this all day long, and I'm hooked! Absolutely stellar game! My only complains are the performance, right now the game seems unable to use more than 50% of my gpu (RTX 3070), and a few minor bugs in the UI. Besides that, man, it went straight to my "favorites" tab on steam 😂
So i have only two issues with the game: 1. Arc anchors: the moment you pick them up something crazy happens and you have sometimes no time to react. First time a pilar literally formed under my car and i was stuck there for a while. Granted this has only happened once so I might have just been very unlucky. 2. The gateways appear in middle of nowhere, I mean you can drive to them, but it isn't so much driving through the forest and kinda anticlimactic. Oh and one the Gateway was behind a long wall and I was really struggling to get to it and ended up dying for the first time because of it.

I am on the PS5. I like the game, but no manual save is rough. Not able to turn on for a few moments and save is a killer. Now it is possible there is a manual save, and i dont know how to use it. I dont see it.
This game is fun and I enjoy it BUT, it isn't like Outerwilds which is what people compare it to. It has similar graphics and it is semi-rougelike, yes. This is a innocent version of Roadside Picnic by the Strugatsky brothers but with a car and set in North America. In Outerwilds you have to solve pussels on your own with the use of bits and peices that you find, in this (played it for 8h+ now) you are constantly handheld, even if something is obvoius, by an old lady with a obnoxious attitude over the radio. You do get to poke around on your own but mainly for colleting scrap. Some other things to know: This is NOT in any way realistic regarding fixing your car which isn't really obvious in the trailers right away i.e: you have magic paint that you fix broken car parts with. Which is fine and actually preferable to realism but to some it might not be obvious by just looking at the trailers. The game gives you litteral cheat codes and call it "accessibility" settings. Really funny that they have all that yet they made it insanely tedious on a controller to pick up scraps with is gonna be 50% of the gameplay. The performance is pretty crap unless you have the best rig. The game looks deeper than it actually so don't be fooled just because the beginning is a bit overwhelming. Tutorial starts off good and then sowly becomes a pain, had a hard time being able to tell if it was over or not. At some point the game will force you to apply one of their million genderbender flags on your car as a "tutorial", thankfully you can remove it and never have to see any of that crap again, (regardless of your political stance, most people hate real life politicts of any kind in their games/movies etc.) I know a lot of people care about this even if they don't want to admit it so there you go. And if you get upset about reading that then shove it, no one thinks you are a good person for it since all just virtue signaling and projection anyway.
could you add more chemicals where is not enough to make repair putty so without the mod of fix upon return my car would be dead and please switch objectives a bit in the begging hours cuz it's quite repetitive and not so much rewarding especially then one of the missions requires you to go on the runs multiple times and then i have to wait to zone to open again
I agree there needs to be a few more chemicals around the environments. In lieu of that, just craft new parts & break down the old ones in the early game. Only use repair putty when extremely necessary on the road. Resources required to make new panels are more abundant than the putty needed to repair it.
yeah but when going forward you unlock better gear and can get more resources when using that gear and usually check the junctions they have indication on how much resources you are going to find in them including chemicals and fabric, once you unlock Olympic torch its like ten repair putties in one but its late story other way if you use regenerator you can switch parts but one big problem is that parts worn out quickly so best way is liberator and collecting parts from armoured vehicles but you also need to repair them if you do play the game without extra help of mods i would consider it extra unfair since in level 4 and 5 junctions your armoured car goes red in two hits from shredding ball electricity and acid are hard core as well @@StealthyZombie

It's in the options menu, press that button and it'll say save game, hit X and it'll save.
