The unit you have seems to be in pretty good condition, after 50+ years.

The memory is auto chord key hold(like on some Casiotones from the 80s and late 70s), and the key start is the synchro start for the beats when you press the keys the rhythm starts. The chord section and in effect all those functions associated with it are defective so no chords for YOU! 😛. The M and m7 buttons just inject the additional notes for minor(m) or minor 7th chords(m7). Again for the non functioning chord section..

Philip Glass bought a bunch of these for the Philip Glass Ensemble in the 70's, cheap from used NY thrift stores. Not sure what models though.

Philip Glass used Farfisa Mini Compacts (probably versions 1 and version 2) and possibly Farfisa Compact. He may have bought some in thrift stores, but he noted in his book he’d buy them from people and they would often be found in basements. He later used a Yamaha YC-45D throughout Einstein on the Beach. The songs Two Pages, Music in Contrary Motion, Music in Fifths, and Music in Similar Motion were all supposedly recorded on a Hammond B3 organ (likely into a Hammond tone cabinet, but certainly without a Leslie speaker). The Farfisa Bravo came out much later and it’s doubtful they performed with or recorded with one.
