However, even the fact that the three WP leaders already knew from the outset (7-8 Aug) is material info to the CEC to make the right assessment as to whether Khan’s continuation of the lie after 3rd of Aug is WHOLLY her own decision and action or there’s actually a mitigation factor whereby her leaders actually tacitly approved her behaviour and influenced her decision. That’s material info right there😏😏 Recently there’s already a case where a Mother was charged in court for not protecting her daughter from the Father’s sexual assaults. The Father is wrong all right, no doubt. But now the Mother is also wrong for not sounding off, voicing out, preventing it from happening again and again AFTER knowing about it. Knowing about a crime and doing nothing to stop it is a crime too! The crux of the matter is whether Khan’s doubling down of the lie was 1. Solely based on her own volition, or 2. Advised by and tacitly supported by the WP leaders (ie. being complicit), that’s what the CEC is trying to find out, that’s what the public wants to know!

If you lie in parliament it doesn't matter what is relevant or material . The fact that you lie that is the bottom line. Throw all unnecessary fact finding to the trash unless there is an agenda over an agenda
Yes a lie was said, but not by Jamus. The reason the PAP is even asking Jamus such a question is to paint the WP leadership as being self serving in hiding the fact that they knew about the lie much earlier from the WP CEC. Jamus answered very eloquently on the relevance of such information to the WP CEC when making their decision on how to deal with the liar Khan. If the leadership did not tell her to carry on the lie, there is no need for the WP CEC to know when the leadership knew. In the same way if the police had arrested a robber, and he was transferred to the holding cell on a specific date and time, the judge does not need to know this date and time to hand out a sentence. On this "fact finding" which is turning more into a witch hunt, it is obvious the PAP has an agenda, regardless how many times they are going to claim that they do not.
@@coshinc5941 So from this 3 mins clip, you will understand his stance on the following: 1. The fact that RK confessed in Aug to the WP leadership WILL be material if she was TOLD to continue to lie by the WP leadership. 2. The fact that RK confessed in Aug to the WP leadership WILL NOT be material if she was NOT TOLD to continue to lie by the WP leadership. Just my opinion, but I found it very easy to understand and he answered eloquently. But everyone's aptitude is different. Some people needs the task to be spelled out directly, some have issue understanding the word "substantiate". So no issue, you can use my summarized points above. Hope it is simple enough!
@@patricklim9997 Whether she was told to lie or not, we do not know at this stage. It is not eloquent if one disguise his stance with unnecessary flowery language to make his stance obscure. What was his answer to voting without full information? Material does not come in at the time of voting. All information pertaining to the case are Material. The leaders knowing the lie by 7/8aug are Material facts. But this was not disclosed. The appointment of the DP by the CEC was voted short of this fact. Is it Material enough if the same 3 persons who know and allow the lie to continue are now in the DP deciding the fate of the subject.
@@coshinc5941 If you do not know if she was told to lie or not, but Pritam says he did not ask her to continue to lie, this will not be material. No reason for Pritam to disclose it. If a robber is arrested by the police and is transferred to holding cell X at date/time Y, does the judge need to know this date/time and which holding cell the robber was in to pass sentence? The simple answer is no, both X and Y are not material. And as you stated, no one can be 100% sure if she was told to lie, so how can you say he is hiding his stance when he, like the rest of us do not know the facts? To your question, if he say yes, we can vote without knowing this information but turns out, she was told to continue with the lie, than he would look rather dumb. He would look equally dumb, if he said no and turns out she was not told to keep lying. So the best he can do is state this 2 narrative, and what he felt would be the case in each of these 2 circumstances. This is what he basically did. So in your view, what is "all information pertaining to the case"? Is the amount of rainfall on the days RK lied material? Might be what RK ate before lying? Not sure if you ever voted, not including the country's election, but when you vote for a motion in any company, you only consider material information. Addition to my reply: I do not think the DP decided on the fate of RK, they just compiled the information. The CEC voted on the fate of RK, which would have already been written on the wall the moment she first lied.

The crux of the matter is whether Khan’s doubling down of the lie was 1. Solely based on her own volition, or 2. Advised by and tacitly supported by the WP leaders (ie. being complicit), that’s what the CEC is trying to find out, that’s what the public wants to know!
1st of all, public was initially interested if RK was lying, after she admitted that she lie. Majority of the public already moved on. No point having a long winded COP wasting public resource, time & $ on focusing to scrutinize every word, every line to make the " I'm more holier than thou " case. Every politician lie....99% of the public knows.

He is talking nonsense. Acting cute and answers in a long winded distracting manner.
No truthful and evasive.
Certainly a letdown
@@patricklim9997
Are you sure he answered eloquently? He is a messy talker.
Add together what he speaks , you don't get any substance.
@@coshinc5941 So from this 3 mins clip, you will understand his stance on the following:
@@patricklim9997
Whether she was told to lie or not, we do not know at this stage.
Don't know which day when you step on your boss foot and your boss might call you a liar to advance his political agenda.

@@markfish1113 minimum wage will kill jobs
@@brmin7312 Min wage kill a small portion of redundant jobs short-term but also raise company's productivity and overall skill in an economy. Companies can't afford to hire cheap labour, so they invest in technology and training to be more efficient. Less workers doing redundant tasks. This is why Singapore has low productivity so many years, they are not willing to sacrifice 1% more unemployment to look good on paper. They rather have many workers paid 1k but doing very minimum low quality jobs, some even doing nothing. This is govt decision and i don't blame the country for being conservative.
It can also be argued MW increases morale of workers leading to long-term low turnovers and lower training costs for new worker, increasing spending from the worker and boost demand in economy.
The govt position is using PWM saying is enhanced min wage. I'm not sure whether the PWM can go into other sectors and goes well with private companies. The worker going courses to get some govt cert to justify promotion by 'productivity'. Don't think the private companies will welcome this model. For cleaner, security, construction workers possible, many are hired by govt firms, they pay the PWM increment themselves.
