It absolutely blows me away to think of the extra time and effort you put into making these extensive tutorials and providing them for free! Thank you so much! I also really appreciate the pep-talk that comes with all the instruction. I definitely agree that it's important to stress less about the way it looks and just have fun with it. From my experience I have definitely noticed that stress stifles creativity and drawing ability.

I like the "mimic spider" idea a lot more than the "spider holding corpse" idea which I don't think would work in real life.

On a more serious note, thanks so much for uploading this video. As a big fan of the Soulsborne series and an artist looking to work for FromSoftware myself, I found this quite useful since it tackles more of the fundamentals of creature/boss design rather than the rendering.

I find this kind of "unrefined" episode at least as valuable as the others. The insight to the thought process behind posing a character, getting the limbs right, and many other problems that were solved on the fly gets more attention this way than in a timelapse.
This way the problems and solutions are immediate as they would be when much less experienced person tries to tackle them. The solutions usually are a result of multiple decisions as they go on the page, it takes some time to explain and comprehend what is happening and a timelapse might be too fast for this (being the most important part of the design and process of getting it visualized). Wouldn't call this sketching speed slow either.
Boring? These can't be boring, not with this kind of content, and this had sound effects too. Maybe this works the same way as designs that were mentioned - If you feel bored while recording, then maybe it might be boring for the viewer.

Thanks, Feng, I really liked this episode a lot, because as you were thinking aloud in real time, I was able to think of my own ideas, as well, to imagine what I might do for the same thing! I sketched out a few ideas as I went and can't wait to see what you come up with.

TOPIC REGISTATION:: Once in a while, I would love to see again, have you talk over previous student paint-overs where you kept all the layers and go through each layer describing what your approach to design was in each layer. Hearing your approach to design has been the most valued videos in my opinion. I would hope they would be easier to do produce for you as well.Again thanks for the periodical video. I like when you are more laid back and relaxed and don't hold yourself to have to outdo the previous videos. We are thankful for everything you put out there. They help, inspire, and light the fire of motivation immensely. P.S. Oh, and the personal pep talks you find yourself fall back into are always appreciated. For us out here who feel like we are on our own, it is warming to hear once every few videos.

Hey Feng, I love your videos man. I even put your old videos on in the background just to listen to the way you explain things. The inspiration that you and people like Scott Robertson are able to draw from the seemingly random and mundane amazes me.
Anyway, with that said, I was wondering if you and your team could make a short video featuring the daily life of students at your school. It would be nice to see interviews and time-lapse clips that demonstrate the amount of work required by a student to complete a project. I think a lot of people mistake how much effort goes into developing the skills that you display in your videos. I know you guys are crazy busy over there, but if you could find the resources, something like this would serve to show prospective students what it's really like to be enrolled at your school before making the commitment.

Quick question : does the 'rule' about how high you place your horizon line still apply to vehicule design ? As you could take advantage of the low horizon to get the space ship (for instance) look massive and impressive but it gets harder to see all the details of your design that way...
