Jesus your Star Wars knowledge is insane, you knew so much about clone wars and rebels. Thats awesome
thank you so much!!! i really love the shows :)
Beylan certainly wasn't an Inquisitor. He's somethink like a dark Jedi. It's evident that he still holds a certain level of respect for the Order. This is exemplified by his apprentice Shin, who wears her Padawan braid.
I think, he's a survivor of Order 66. To endure, he had to veer from the Jedi path and prioritize what was best for him and his apprentice. That's why his lightsaber blade is orange. He isn't fully consumed by the dark side. The color represents a fusion of the Jedi way and the path of a survivor of the Purge.
In my opinion, both Beylan and Shin know both the light side and the dark side of the Force.
totally agree! i think you’re spot on. after watching the second episode i felt that Baylan turned to the dark side of the force to survive. i can see a redemption ark in his future ;)
Yesssss shes back! And this first episode was a banger. So excited for the rest of the series!
ME TOOOO
you can just tell how big a Rebels fan you are because these reactions were so pure🥲 but happy to see THE laney byers with a new video! lol keep them coming can’t wait for episode 2 reactions🙌🙌
THE noah nation commenting on my video??? THANK YOU SO MUCH FRIEND
when ryder talks to sabine just before he walks out, the fact that he thinks he needs to tell her to listen to her says alot about how things ended between them, that ryder the governor of lothal not only heard about it but he knew things were bad enough that he felt the need to say something . so not only was it widely known that she was her apprentice it was also seems to be well known that they broke things off in a bad way.
you’re exactly right. so many things have made me ask what could’ve possibly happened between them to make them have that much bad blood??
@@laneybyers while it isn't accurate to their actual relationship which is one of mentor & apprentice, i find it oddly fitting to view the way they act and how everyone is treating their relationship through the metaphor of them being exes. its just fits really well the awkwardness of seeing each other again for the first time in years and then not talking about the elephant in the room but instead going jumping to i think i know how to find ezra. then sabine in the ship looking around so fondly. they obviously had good times together and then Ahsoka just walked away from it all and Sabine must feel betrayed. likely it was Ahsoka who pitched the idea of Sabine becoming her apprentice to her. Sabine seems to have then emotionally invested to the idea of it only for Ahsoka to later just walk away. even worse would be if Ahsoka didn't really explain why or didn't explain it very well.
another thing to consider is that Sabine had a bunk on the ship. When she asked Ahsoka where she calls home now she says the ship. Sabine says STILL? So Sabine lived with Ahsoka on her ship. So ending their relationship also meant that Sabine had to leave the place she had called home for some period of time.
And of course all of their Friends and family are essentially trying to get them back together. both Huyang and Hera keep pushing both of them to get back together.
then you have some of the conversations they have like Sabine & hera's
"i havent' seen her in ... years and the first thing i do goes sideways.
"you're both difficult. i always thought that made it work."
"... until it didn't"
Again i am not saying that they were in that kind of relationship but its a useful metaphor to explain all the tension and awkwardness. It informs you about the emotional rift between them and what they have to overcome to fix things and move forward. we'll have to see if the metaphor still works for the remaining episodes but for the first 2 its certainly helps figure out their dynamic at least until we get the backstory.
Great reaction, i loved this episode, as a big rebels fan this was perfect loved all the casting for the rebels crew.
Looking forward to seeing your ep 2 reaction and for the rest of the show.
If we dont see zeb in this we riot lol.
The casting is spot on :) Thank you so much!!!
Where is Zeb? Is he safe? Is he alright?
5:42 Friend-zoning Sabine may be for her own good if she is to train as a Jedi without romantic attachments. Ezra may be sacrificing brewing love for Sabine's well-being? Perhaps Ahsoka left Sabine's training b/c she sensed her apprentice's emotional attachments to Ezra, and didn't want Sabine to repeat similar path of her former master Anakin, who turned to the dark side because of unresolved attachments as a Jedi?
that’s a GREAT point i didn’t think about that!!
Ok…I loved the episodes..and I I’ve become a big Ahsoka fan over the years. But she had to grow on me..and lastly..I’m gonna have to say it because nobody else did, damn you look good !!!
Thanks, Laney! 🌌 The demeanor 'Ezra' had in his hologram was consistent except when he called 'Sabine' sister, when he rubbed the back of his neck. That might indicate he was nervous when he said it. Perhaps trying to play down is romantic feelings? Time tells all. #LaneyByers #StarWars #Ahsoka
TRUE! i hope his body language is telling a different story when he said that. thanks for watching!!!
@@laneybyers You're so very welcome. 🌷
Absolutely loved seeing these episodes. Got so much Rebels nostalgia since I loved that show.
we Rebels fans really are winning right now :)
@@laneybyers I agree here
Great job Ms. Laney ~ Looking forward to the next 6 weeks, and the motion picture following .. .. Ooops, TMI .. ..
i’m so excited!!
Great reaction video Laney! I was surprised by Sabine getting impaled too! Glad she’s not dead, but every time another character gets stabbed by a lightsaber and lives…I think poor Qui-GonnJinn. Enjoyed watching your review! MTFBWY
patrick thank you!!! Qui-Gon deserves justice this is getting ridiculous!
You have cool collectibles in the back. Chop on the bed is awesome!
thank you so much!! i love my chopper :)
i think it's telling that Sabine was carrying a big ol gun but she sets it down and rather than grabbing any of her mandalorian armor or gadgets, she grabs the lightsaber. granted she didn't know Shin would be there but its very telling that of the 3 options before her she picked the lightsaber.
yes! i didn’t even think about that!
Ezra got sisterzoned, but that's never stopped Star Wars...
I THOUGHT THE SAME THING HAHAHA
Glad to see you back!
glad to be back!!
Loveeeee seeing the chopper bag in the back!! Great reaction Laney 💛 I also thought Ezra and Sabine would be a slow burn, like Aang and Katara. I was disappointed when the plot never really circled back to that :/
omg yes!!! i’m still holding out hope but the immediate sibling zone makes me feel like it’s not gonna happen😭
Great reaction video! Subscribed and followed 😃 you’re video popped up on my feed and so happy it did 🤩🥳
yay thank you so much and welcome!!
yayyyy new reaction!!!
it was so fun!🥹
The music was composed by Kevin Kiner (who also did Clone Wars, Rebels, Bad Batch)
I forgot to mention this! I didn’t realize until after I filmed, but no wonder the score is incredible! Kiner is a GENIUS
So happy to see you again. You're one of my favorite people. Missed you much ❤🙂❤
thank you so much for sticking with me it means so much!!
These episodes were great! Can't wait to see where we go from here!
THANKS WILL!!
I'm So Gald to See Sabine & Hera in Live Action. I'm Such a Big Fan of Rebels it's hard to Picture the Rebels Crew in Live Action. The Stand Out is Baylan Skoll and His Apprentise Shin Hati.
yessss the dark side users are killing it so far i love them!!
Thank god for siblings
Hey Laney, I was just hopping around YT seeing what people thought about Ahsoka so far, and I stumbled upon your video! Your Star Wars knowledge is insane! I haven’t been this excited for a Star Wars Disney+ show in a while!!! I’ve been wanting a Rebels sequel ever since I finished Rebels years ago!! Both Clone Wars and Rebels are phenomenal!!! I would even argue that animation is some of the best Star Wars has to offer!!!! This show is already better than I could’ve hoped for; already exceeded my expectations with the first 2 episodes!!! Dave really is second in command when it comes to Star Wars!!! Ahsoka has that Star Wars feel that I’ve been missing!!! I can’t wait to see what Dave has in store for us!!! We’re in for a treat!!! PS: not to mention, you are very beautiful too❤️ New subscriber, congratulations!!!❤️
thank you so much for watching and welcome!!!
First video I've seen from you, and it didn't take long to notice you've seen all/most of starwars. It felt really pure.
I believe Baylan is not an old inquisitor or sith.
He is, just like Ahsoka and Bendu, in the middle.
Can a Jedi still be a Jedi and fight for the remnant of the Empire?
Can a Sith fight for the alliance/new republic and still be a Sith?
I believe Baylan and Shin do not care about the Remnant. They are solely selfish. At the moment, the best ally for their own goal, is the remnant. But that can change.
They are not evil, they are not good. They are the middle.
i love those questions you asked because i think that’s exactly what Dave wants us to consider! thank you for watching!
I think the sister zone is a misdirection, lol.
i hope so!
Baylen was a Jedi
my krabs , is Savage oppress,, And the governor of lothal from rebels he did the same voice acting same actor , He's also the devil dude from season one of the Mandalorian The prison break episode
you’re right, i forgot about that! he’s so talented omg
Laney my Daughter and i loved first 2 episodes they are not inquisitors Dark Jedi
yes! i cheered myself at the end thankfully :)
subbing bc a rebel fan knows a rebels fan
thank you so much!!!🥹
i guess Sabine never matured she's a few years older than Luke Skywalker when we see him in the book of boba ,, Sabine is about very late 20s early 30s
maybe we’ll see her mature throughout the show!
Baylan and Shin are not Inquisitors, and I don't think they're Sith either. I'm guessing they're dark Jedi, those who use the dark side of the Force, but who don't care for the ways of the Sith.
But the 3rd guy is definitely a former Inquisitor.
Kevin Kliner who composed the Clone Wars and Rebels OSTs is also in charge of this show's OST.
Yes! That’s the conclusion I came to at the end too :) Thanks for watching!
I subscribed to your page, and I give you a thumbs 👍 up
thank you so much, i really appreciate it!!!
I'm so excited to watch this series since I finished up Star Wars Rebels are you excited 😀👍🏽😀
IM SO EXCITED IM GLAD YOU WATCHED REBELS!!!
@@laneybyers Thanks it really means a lot 👍🏽😎👍🏽
The bad Jedi in the beginning ,, aren't inquisitors..
i figured that out in the end ;)
the book of boba fett was great
the best moments, in my opinion, were in the Mando episodes.
Hey Laney, 👋great reaction, this was an amazing episode, I was much like you in the Sabine part.. oof.. unexpected.. but im wondering why Dave went this route, but oh well. Lothal looks Amazing and what an episode..
yeah i’m not too thrilled about the friend zoning but oh well🥲 THANKS ERIC
@laneybyers I know right?! 🙃
It's great except for a few issues
Balen and his apprentice are not inquisitors🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
i figured that out at the end and talked about it in my final thoughts in this video :)
even though ezra she is like a sister to him i dont buy it in rebels they never treated each other like siblings there was always something more then that
that’s what i’m saying yes!!!
Fair use is like 10 minutes of footage. The reaction time is 8ish minutes. You also totally skipped the epic hallway scene. Not a good first impression. Good looks won't win you my sub
