Hi, June, is it possible for you to please make a video of what cams and levers and buttons do and why they do what they do on a knitting machine. I have a Brother 260 with ribber and I would really love to understand how it all works. I have yet to see a video from anyone who can fully explain slowly how it all works. I know I'm not alone, there are I'm sure many who could benefit from this knowledge. Greatly appreciate if you can do this please.😁
I have followed your cast on method on the ribber but my main bed when I set it up for 1x1 rib it only connects on the ribber needles and all the needles I selected 1x1 on the main bed come into use and don’t connect hope you can help with this problem Thankyou
Hi June sorry I didn’t respond to your reply. I have been without WiFi. Somebody is helping me with the problem now. Love your videos though as they are very informative, keep them coming! Regards Hazel
Hi June I have started having a problem casting on with my KH836 and KR850 ribber. It was working fine and I have knitted 3 jumpers. But after experimenting using a punchcard, I cannot cast on now. The yarn runs through the ribber needles but doesn't engage with the main bed, apart from the very first stitch. I have tried looping them on by hand but when I move the carriages over the work, it just disengages and throws the work off. I have tried looking for videos on TH-cam but can't find anything, do you have any suggestions please? Regards Hazel
I would check all your settings on the carriages. Everything should be on plain for zig zag row. Check the main bed spongebar. Check the ribber alignment. Difficult to say without seeing, but could you put up a video on the FB Group, Machine Knitting Beginners Circle?

my comb always catches on the carriage and stops it from moving
Make sure it is centred properly and that you don’t have the clip on the wire catching
@@JuneClarkit’s definitely not the clip on the wire. could it be that i need the fine bar?
If you are doing fnr , yes
