Like a lot of other holier-than-thou boomers I used to look down my nose at her, with her crazy antics and over sexualized performances. BUT then I saw her perform straight ahead rock music on SNL and I immediately clamped down my prejudices and said to my wife that if Miley wanted to she could be a kick ass rock singer. THEN I came across her performance of Nothing Else Matters that she did live on the Howard Stern Show, WITH Metallica and she effing killed it. As you say, her journey through artistry, her willingness to display her vulnerability as well as her redemption story, and the sincerity of her journey the way she puts it out there for all to see. Good for her, and good for you Brit!

I was 10 turning 11 in June when Hannah Montana came out March 2006 sooooo happy she has 2 Grammys finally!!!! She’s only a month older than my older sister. Bangrz album came out my Senior Year and our Senior rivalry week shirts with 1 of our 2 rivals (Raiders) was our mascot Dolphin on a Wrecking Ball with a foam finger crashing into their Raider (basically Pirate) ship still have the shirt. Can’t believe her album that came out my Senior Year is 10 years old. Loved her ever since Hannah Montana saw the movie 2 in theaters once by myself and pre ordered Bangerz because Wrecking Ball and We Can’t Stop were so good.
