It's around $8000 in NZ but you you'll pay that for a full suspension e mtb here so when you think about it that way its not to steep considering you don't have to peddle it😊
It’s definitely not worth it there are bikes half the price that have at least that weight capacity with double the speed and lighter. This company needs to nock this down a few thousand and find a way to take 50 pounds off of the bike’s weight
Low volume bikes are more expensive, I'm not sure where they are made but if they are doing that in New Zealand that is a another reason why. The ones you are refering to are chinese made and are also not as robust and probably made with lower standards in mind. Keep in mind that this is legal while the other bikes are not so its just following regulations. Also it isn't even that heavy, a big chunk of it is from the battery alone. It is a moped they are supposed to be more robust built than bicycles are.
