Dlo got worse even tho were told he will have a career szn, Rui still a bad defender and rebounder, Gabe Vincent is still the same cardio player from last szn, Max is still struggling to stay in the rotation, Vando & Wood still have no return date, we still do not have a good backup center or 2 way wing, and we were told that Lakers will shoot way more 3s yet we haven’t seen that. @godfreyevbuomwan4542 I'm not saying this is a championship team. What I am saying is that they are an improved team. What was this team's record last year at this time. Lakers are better than last year. There's no doubting that. Enjoy the wins. Context is still neede though. Defense on perimeter is terrible and the bench is not good. 76ers didnt have embid and maxey. Paul george just came back from injury. Grizzlies were without ja, bane, gg, and clarke. Pels didnt have cj, zion, Murphy, herb jones, or dejounte. Raptors are a bottom team. Spurs are an ok team. We beat sac and Minnesota. They had 2 big moves this offseason, derozan and Randle, so their chemistry was off. Lakers need to prove themselves against top tier healthy teams and beat the bottom teams convincingly. I still think a trade is pivotal

It may be difficult for the wins to paint a full picture. The teams, the injuries, the way the games unfolded. However, you can argue the same about the losses. Cavs (undefeated), Suns (sick Lebron horrible game still very close), Grizzlies (AD, Rui out, game decent till late), pistons (not the Pistons of last year). Have to look at it from both sides not just diminish the wins because of bias.

Rob didn't overspend in my opinion. He got a generational talent . He proved to lakers fans that he was willing to go all in to win multiple titles and show lebron he's serious. It went half bad and half good. Yes the lakers won 1 title and nobody couldve predicted injuries or a bad Westbrook trade wouldve prevented the lakers to become a dynasty again. Also kobe was a driving influence of trading for ad. He said he would trade the kids for AD because 3 of them in 1 player is AD. Also the draft selections didnt go as planned for New Orleans. Rob also didnt have to tamper every 2 weeks like magic did.

DLo to the bench has been good because it’s unlocked LBJ as PG, which is where he should’ve been since 2020. LBJ led the NBA in assists and then they decided to take him off to “reduce usage.” Ironically, the man has worked more than ever, ever since. LBJ can play till he’s 45 if he runs true PG. It STILL baffles me the team went COMPLETELY LEFT to the recipe that worked that season. Play D, get easy transition buckets with AD and LBJ and get the boards with 3 7footers.

Not to mention that everyone was saying that AD was too fragile and the Lakers gave up too much. Perhaps Pelicans would feel differently if Zion wasn't out.

The Lakers wins last year were in spite of Ham, not because of him. Bron ran the calls and coached the team while Ham just was the rah rah guy. JJ is much more x's and o's than Ham ever was or will be. Ham is a solid assistant coach to help motivate younger players...and that's OK.

Because the centers he has his eye on play for other teams and THOSE GMs are openly trying to fleece Rob out of those 2 first round picks. If all things are fair, Rob does not really have what other teams would want in return.

Beating fringe teams with injured stars isn't great btw and if they can't win against teams who are at the top of the standings then this streak is all useless as they better make trades to improve the team because were tired seeing them lose all the centers they have.

Just because all of our rookies have sucked in the past doesn't mean we should treat him like a developing player. He is ready and he is a better defensive player and rebounder then every guard on our roster then Max, except he is way more efficient offensively then Max.

The whole point is, the Lakers are better than last year. With AD,LBJ,AR ,, Rui and the rookie Dalton Kinect.Y’all only seeing a taste of how good the Lakers can be. If Jared Vanderbilt gets back to at least 90% healthy. I’m booking for the Lakers to win it all. If Ad keeps playing like this he should get MVP!!!! I laughed at the Idea when people was screaming trade Ad. That’s when I realized that a lot of people just watch Tv and not the game.. AR, and Rui have the potential to be be All-Stars!!!!Dalton Knecht for a rookie!!! They headed in the right direction and with LBJ and AD on the other side of that Quarter scares people!!!#Mr TRUST the PROCESS!!!!
