Kyo - Iori
Shun'ei - Isla
K’ - Kula
Ash - Elisabeth
Without a doubt, the story mode of this game is going to give a lot to talk about, I can't wait for it to come out.
Kula was literally made as "The Anti-K'". While not a rival, she is his opposite.

I'm in no way shape or form, a FGC aficionado, I don't play online competitive or anything like that, but I'll *buy* this game not only because I'm a fan of the series, but to support SNK, they really outdid themselves, you can see this is a work of love from them to the fans and I really appreciate it.
Nor do you have to in order to enjoy a fighting. Fgc is fgc man. Pro or casual. I agree, you can tell they are really doing their best on this. Definitely grabbing it too. Hope you enjoy once it drops.

Imma be honest.... The roster this time around is really weak. I feelike them going with the while "shatter all expectations" did not live up. (Maybe except nest team). But this was a really wasted opportunity imo. They could've pulled from the maximum impact series for sure. I'd love to see duke and Alba back. Louise. (Where's Kim, yamazaki , rock, geese, rugal and the old boss team with krauser, goinetz, Ryo father takuma. So much wasted spaces in my mind. Either the roster should've been bigger or better base roster. I'm still gonna buy it and like what's there because I love KOF but man. It could've been so shattering.
I feel the same. SNK has really delivered with XV, and I can't wait to own this game.

This is the first time I ever saw Elisabeth have a casual and calm conversation with Ash. Will wonders never cease.
The stage particularly caught my attention. It's so nostalgic, I might like the new stages in KOF 14 and 15 , but the sets and stages from old KOFs are somewhat more of my taste. This by far remains my favorite background stage followed by Kula's icy background.
This + 96' Osaka theme = WIN :)
Her prismatic light effects are really pretty...her Level 3 has me wishing she incorporated light-based archery more into her fighting style though!
I dig the new light effects, prevents it from blending into any backgrounds while also looking pretty af
Design wise, its kinda smart from them to change from "white light effect" in the older version into somewhat "RGB color" which is the nature color of light contrasted to CMYK (which produce by non light source of color, such as ink used by printer)
Remember the light effect in kof 2000?

You LOVE to see it. SNK has always been king when it comes to badass female characters and Elisabeth doesn't disappoint. That level 3 might be one of the best in the game. My hype has no bounds.

She's really an aristocrat, isn't she. Her fighting style is so neat and clean. If Chizuru is the japanese elegance, then for westerners it's Elizabeth. Chizuru is more motherly while Elizabeth is like your usual strict proper woman, i wonder if she's a tsundere or not
Elizabeth wears a mostly blue outfit with white as a secondary color
Ash wears mostly red with black as a secondary color
Kula color scheme is very vibrant with bright blue hair and a maroon outfit
K' is a mulled, greyed out, seemingly lifeless outfit.
Isla color scheme is all of the place, just like Shun'eis. Both have green-ish hair. Isla has green eyes, shun'ei has red eyes.
Don't think I need to elaborate on Iori and Kyo
Well I guessed that would be her team. It’s good to see Elizabeth again, she looks good, kinda miss the riding crop tho, I guess she didn’t really use it that much in XII and XIII anyway. I’m happy.

She looks stunning, her moves have some of the most beautiful flare i'm seen in a fighting game.

Aurora borealis
Her visual effects look amazing. I had to rewatch the trailer a few times until I got used to them, as I've only played her in XIII, where her effects are a blinding white. This new take is basically how light reflects off droplets of water to make rainbows, it's nice.
It also reminds me of auroras, too. Which is all the more fitting for her.
But some of the effects kinda look cheap mainly her 2 normal supers
are you part of snk's marketing team? cuz you are doin a good job with words here... this is by no means better than the sprites from XIII. The just nailed the animation and presentation of moves in 13 and they have failed to do it with team ash in this game
That's a good question. Well, I wouldn't mind being paid for throwing words around. But no, I don't work for SNK. (yet)
I never played the other titles she’s in all I know is that based on her design any other dev would give her ice powers and the fact she doesn’t is refreshing praise be to originality, Godspeed snk.

Another reason i like this game is the sound effects when getting hit. It don't sound all cheesy like street fighter. It actually sounds great when its a hard attack, it sounds like one.

Oh my god her design, oh my god her light effects/powers…just oh, oh my god competitor for my favorite girl in this series.
Her light effects looks like and odd choic, but I kinda like it, but the part that puts it down a little bit is that it looks like modified effects Meitenkun has. The lvl 3 confused me because I didn't think she'd actually do that with her light but I'd do WAY more than a bow, "HEAVY MACHINE GUN!" But Elisabeth is elegant so...sword and bow

There's leak game (dont ask me how they do it), but more importantly Elizabeth have projectile we didnt see here.
She looks beautiful and awesome. The past few trailers have shown a visual improvement imo. I cant wait to see how the rest of the characters will look in the final build.

Finally, Elizabeth finally looks happy and calm rather than the high almighty and strict rival in XI and XIII. And with that, KOF XVI needs to return 2001’s mechanics to fit the KOF hero (Kyo, K’, Ash, and Shun’ei), rival (Iori, Kula, Elizabeth, and Isla), and enemy (Yashiro, K9999/Krohnen, Adelheid, and Kukri) teams.

Me encantó el diseño de Elisabeth blanctorche, es mi personaje favorito a pesar de estar en muy pocas entregas, si se esforzaron en ella, pues es alguien sumamente importante para la saga KOF, pero me gustaría que la actriz de voz fuera la misma que le interpretó en KOF XIII, es lo único que faltó (según mi criterio), excelente trabajo SNK

I have to admit, Betty is really high on my wishlist once I knew Ash was back. Both were my mains in XIII, so I'm personally really happy to see them return in XV. Throw in Oswald, Shen Woo, and Duo Lon, and the party's complete. I'm also hoping this is where we finally see Shion return since he was teased at the end of XIII.
And holy crap, has it really been 12 years since XIII was released?! I'm still playing the game to this day! It's really one of my favourite KOF titles of all time.
I'm so glad that they are including characters from KOF XIII. And making them as gorgeous as they were in XIII but in 3d.

Beautiful and flashy effects rending for all these special moves. I really hope they're gonna try hard polishing Terry's to this level of work before the official game release.
