I bought a 3 inch Curt for my HD. So much beefier. The reducer to take it to 2 1/2 left so much play in the connection.

What’s the part number on the covers for the holes?

I just looked up the BW kit on etrailer, and the reviews are that BW is a loose fit, too. Apparently, the slop is part of the design.
I do like the handle on the BW hitch, though. It Keeps your hands clean when handling the ball. We all want clean hands handling our balls.

I bought the Curt Gooseneck ball system, and was disappointed with the of slop and movement that the ball has in the puck. Evidently Curt is OK with this much tolerance. You can feel the movement every time you stop and start. I then bought a B&W Gooseneck Kit and the quality is much better, with a lot better fit in the puck receiver. I would think with Curt making, or at least designing the hitch and ball they would have a better fit. B&W is American made with American made steel, this prove the old saying, "You get what you pay for".

What are your thoughts about greasing the ball and puck system?
