In the Midnight Hour is a song by Wilson Pickett and Steve Cropper. It’s a staple of early R&B and its guitar “thwack” became a standard as well - coming on the 2nd and 4th beats. It’s a great jam tune, played in many jam sessions and many bars and weddings too. In this final part of the guitar lesson we'll learn a solo and also the theory behind it.

So hard for me to think of it as a "Michael Bolton song" when the original (Percy Sledge) was such a huge hit in 1966 and IMHO so much better. But ... I like the little guitar fills in the version that Bolton did, so why not.
